Normally most of the stuff we do is for the younger generations but I have been successful in attaining a grant of £500 to set up an initial 10 week programme of adult football (5 a sides/7 a sides) which we would hope he participants will be keen to continue on their own after the funding had finished.
If anyone is interested in this project please email me on tony.mcminn@albionroversfc.com.
I will be looking at suitable venues such as halls, AstroTurfs and bowling greens (sorry just kidding) and a start date in the near future. Keep an eye on here and the community Facebook and Twitter (@arfccommunity) for more information.
Cheers
Tony

Well said Charlie, some great efforts going on behind the scenes, Tony and his team deserve plaudits for this, as stated, its not just the younger generation that's being targeted by the clubs ventures, looking to get dad's army out on the pitch should be good for a laugh. Tony, you'd get away with 4's at Kirkwood Sports Barn and its a smaller pitch !!!!! Played there a few times and its quite deceiving, you come off thinking you've just played in a lung-bursting game but really you've just don't the equivalent of keepie-uppies in a phone box. Either way, its a win win. It's all in the mind. Well done again to all involved.
