Cheers for this Jordie ! Interesting stuff Cant believe the keeper situation, the amount of times a bigger team has pulled the rug from under us in terms of loans and we cant do it for a vital cup tie! Am I right in thinking that Gartcairn refused to play our under 19s in the cup because we didn’t have a paper copy of the team lines? Don’t see why we should be doing them any favours.

If what Jordie says (and I have no reason to doubt him)that the BOD are resigned to LL football next season...I find their attitude appalling Ronnie seemed very confident that we would survive the drop. Someone in attendance asked if we have budgeted for LL football and the Chairman replied “Yes” almost instantly. Says it all for me. With all due respect how would Ronnie know, he spends half the games talking to people with his back to the pitch

This one is for Robert Watt - I’m led to believe that the contract offered to Brian Kerr had a one month payoff clause, if true then I imagine that JB & his backroom team will be same.
I don’t say this with any certainty but Good thinking if it is the case

On a more serious note this is the first time I haven't bought a season ticket and choosing the home games I attend. I have spoken to 5-6 other fans who have not purchased seadon tickets. I wonder what affect tge club's current direction has had on season ticket sales.

Ginty,
Fortunately, during my time on the BOD, managers contracts were not given the same attention by the SFA as they are now and legally binding contracts have to be in place (as far as I am aware). I suppose they are now treating managers and coaches as they do players, which is of course morally correct but is detrimental to small clubs who feel they have a need to bin a manager.
I am not privy to and have absolutely no knowledge of the contracts awarded to either Brian Kerr or John Brogan.
If Brian Kerr had such a clause in his contract it was good business by the club in protecting itself. If John Brogan did not have the same clause inserted, the BOD must have believed absolutely in his ability to produce a team capable of performing well in Div2.

No interest in watching a Junior team with a second rate Junior manager proving that it takes more to compete in Senior leagues.

Good readout Jordie, thanks for that. Beggars belief that is the view of those in charge.
