Best wishes to Kevin. He will need a lot and I mean a lot of luck. Every managerial appointment has an element of risk apart from the last one , that was just utter madness which is why I feel the damage has already been done to pur season.

not the appointment I was hoping for but while Kevin doesn't have the experience, he has contacts in the gae so one of the 2 boxes is ticked, get us out this mess Kevin and you will make a name for yourself. also it's great for Rovers to be the first club in a long time to finally have a black manager in Scottish football for players and young kids to look up to

Should get the media interested for a short time with his past experience on the playing front and should give the club some positive coverage. The trend is for new young managers to break themselves in at the deep end and will look forward to his impact. You only have to look at Jim McDonough at Edinburgh City and Stewart Petrie at Montrose what success can come from a new kid on the block. Lets all get behind him and move the club forward.

Apart from that, well time will tell. If he can get people out to free up wages and has contacts that can get better quality in then fair enough.

I didn’t realise he had be in Australia, wonder what happened there. Only signed a 2 year deal in January 18.
I’ll be honest there wasn’t exactly going to be a line of quality experienced gaffers wanting the job so I’m happy we’ve went for a young guy making his way in the game.
He has left a few clubs fairly shortly which suggests that if it ain’t working he won’t hang about.
I’m sure I read an article in paper where he felt he wasn’t getting an opportunity down to colour of his skin, so in that respect I take my hat off to the board. I can only think of John Barnes in Scotland though sure Someone will correct me.
I only hope now that the reason he’s not had an opportunity isn’t down to fact he’s a crap coach. Although we’re at the bottom , getting above Berwick isn’t unachievable

10 days in Mordor is more than enough for any man! Welcome to the club and all the best.

He left Airdrie due to family reasons so I have been told from one of his former players. I don't know much of him in terms as a coach, from what I have been told hes strict and takes no SH*T from anyone (can't be a bad thing). He is also (and been told by a number of people) that hes a fantastic coach. If the rumors are true about who his assistants are then it seems an exciting coaching team with a new upcoming manager with good playing experience also with experience in terms of management and coaching behind him.
Lets hope he can give the place a lift and I am certain all the fans will get behind him. Hopefully save our season.

No idea how many applicants there were or what the process involved was but when you’re looking for a manager, presumably with experience in the SPFL, and you pose them the question at interview...........
I mean this might work and the guy deserves a chance but it does have the look of another gamble about it. If we start signing guys from the juniors and weans from Alloa who aren’t ready then this’ll be a lot of fun.

Guys I think we have to be realistic about who actually applied for this job. I believe we have far and away appointed the best option from those who applied.
