I would like to have seen ML appointed, just my opinion. Done a very good job at EK and has a lot of good connections in the game. Hope Kevin does well, but with no senior experience (in management) its another gamble at a time where we need survive. Hope I’m proved wrong Not saying ML wouldn’t have done a good job but are we classing Lowland League as senior now?? Didn’t Harper have a job down under , doesn’t appear to have lasted long right enough The Lowland League has always been senior as has the highland league. The east of Scotland, south of Scotland and north calidonian leagues have also always been senior

Ben has put a video up on twitter with an interview with Kevin Harper.
Please give us some feedback on this. If you can that would be fantastic

Good interview but you should've quizzed Kevin when he mentioned a couple of players. Freudian slip of the tongue! And well done Eddie Haggerty too being appointed Chairman. A life long Rovers fan and, living in Drumpellier, has loads of money for the club...

Well, I'm quite excited about this appointment. Agree it's a gamble but given where we are whoever we got was going to be a spin of the wheel. A stark contrast to JB has more chance of getting a reaction and maybe a tune out of some of these guys. Appreciate no real managerial experience but decent career and certainly been around the block, would also expect him to have some good contacts. Thing is, we're bottom of the league and just been knocked out of the cup by Formartine, it would be going some for it to get worse.

Good to hear what the new manager has to say. Sensible to sit this one out. There should be a reaction from the players nonetheless and the first game next week is a big one. Good luck.

Good wee interview, short and sweet.
I'm not sure about not taking the team on Saturday. You're either the manager or you're not. Taking training, being in the dressing room beforehand and presumably at half time; well you might as well be in the dug out too. The cynic in me would say that if it was an 'easier' or more winnable fixture then Kev would be all over it like a rash. So he gets a free hit at tomorrow. Lose and he's not in charge. Win and he can take/be given/steal some of the credit no doubt. It's all about the win (!) percentages maybe?
Just need to remind myself that the current squad have a huge question mark over whether or not they're fit for purpose; and they're not Kevin's players. And fortunately we're not yet completely cut adrift. So he's got a few weeks to make a difference and hopefully get some personnel out and some better quality in.
Good luck to him. It may not be beyond him but performances thus far would suggest he'll need as much luck as he can generate.

Just to clarify something Kevin didn’t take training last night. He has only seen the team play once (Queens Park at home) so it would be very difficult for him to pick the team for tomorrow....

No he stayed and watched the reserves train, spoke with Livy and then watched the rest of the 1st teams session.

I think he should take the team today, probably knows more about the squad on his one viewing of a game and one viewing of training than the JB set up did in their whole time at the club.
