No match thread yet?
How's it going to go today? New manager bounce? Same old story?
I don't think we'll win. Edinburgh are at least a level above us. Regardless, no idea what the weather is like in Tee's garden but it's a fine day for the fitba here.

Ballatoni and Henderson , the two best close season signings in L2. The boy Sheppard not bad either.
Anyone remember Tam Gemmill's second stint as manager mid 90's . He sat in the stand for the first game against high flying East Fife- Rovers went 3-0 up after 20 minutes, ended 4-1. It went all downhill after that!!!!

Why is no one marking Blair Henderson for the second goal, did we make a bad sub for city to score, i thought we were going to get a well deserved point today.

Rovers went 3-0 up after 20 minutes, ended 4-1. It went all downhill after that!!!! 4-2; I remember it well because it was one of my early trips back to the Brig from Yorkshire and I got sucked in by the televised Sheffield derby FA Cup semi in a pub in Whifflet. I missed the first half hour so, from what I saw, we lost 2-1!

Gutsy gritty performance from a team that should have beat Edinburgh. Just shows the potential of our young team. Keep going lads and keep the faith Kevin. These boys have potential. Hope Fisher is OK as I heard he went to hospital.

Hard to believe that Edinburgh City are setting the pace - Rovers matched them in all areas today and desperately unlucky not to get something from the game today. I thought the winning goal had a deflection which wrong footed the keeper - but may just be my dodgy eyesight. Promising signs ahead.

Definitely a better all round performance today. Rovers goal was an absolute worldy, keeper being lobbed from the half way line - second time this season. Fish took 2 sore ones before half time and had to be helped across the pitch and down the tunnel. It didn't look good.
The first half belonged to Edinburgh after a fairly even opening 10 minutes. Blair H must wish he could play against us every week. First goal was a header at the back post where he found himself in acres of space. Second looked like it went in with the aid of a deflection. Outside of the goal I don't really remember Rovers creating a chance far less anything else.
Second half we created many more chances and against lesser teams we might have got something from this game. Encouraging signs to be fair.
Other results didn't go our way I'm afraid and if you look closely you can see a wee bit of daylight beginning to appear between us and the rest. Next week's game is massive for both teams. Win it and we're right back in the mix and you'd hope we could push on a wee bit from there. They're obviously an honest bunch of guys who although are out of their depth for the most part in this league, with a bit of luck could maybe just catch Berwick?
The bold Kevster will probably be heartened by what he saw today. I was and I'm not that easily pleased.

That felt like a mugging today tbh, more than deserved a point against a pretty ordinary EC side. No complaints on endeavour and effort today however our weight of pass needs working on for sure, some touches like an elephant today but overall did well. Next week is massive......oh and THAT goal today ? ...magico !

Deserved a point today but beaten by a flukey deflection. New manager must have hope after today's performance. Lets hope for a win next week.
