I think the best we can hope for is a draw. We leak goals 10 a penny. Hopefully Joe McLaughlin can do some with that defence, in saying that Franco Baresi would struggle with our back four

The old saying about trying to make a silk purse from a sows ear springs to mind. It’s still the same players that Brogan had so unless Kevin Harper is a better magician than Dynamo I cant see anything but a home win
I do hope I’m wrong but I’m afraid my ideal scenario is that he’s got us better organised come the play offs and we are a better team than either of the winners of the Highland and Lowland leagues

When even Prof is surprised at the optimism you know it's exceptional!
Harsh on Willis I think. Was a great utility player for us.
I'm with Sam. Prepare for the play offs and just right off this season.
Chaz - I think I saw you at the game last week with a couple of kids maybe? Thought I saw your face at the end and couldn't remember from where! Some profile pic!

Last week we faced a top team and could almost have got a draw. Today its a much improved Berwick team new manager etc.Heart says 3-1 to us head says hmmm maybe 2-1 or 1-1. Either way Gerardo will continue to play a big part. Its our defence, as so many say. come on Rovers you can do it!

I get the same players argument but I really don't think you can underestimate the JB factor, no world beaters in this league good coaching and leadership can make massive difference. Joe Mclaughlin seems like a really shrewd appointment, what's the connection there with Harper? Anyway, I quite fancy us today, 3-1 Rovers.

PJ Morrison recalled by Motherwell today, Daniel Potts in goal. Morrison is playing for `Well U21s in the Challenge Cup versus Ross County

The gap is getting bigger, but hopefully Kevin's first day in charge of the team and what he's seen to put things right, and hopefully get a win next week.

Feel for the fans as that is a long journey back from a defeat.
Rooted and 8 points behind Berwick would suggest we are 90% certain to finish bottom. Defeat next week would make it 99.9%.
Do not underestimate the damage that appointing John Brogan has done to the club. It's biggest self inflicted wound the club has ever committed.
Think I will have two bottles of wine instead of one tonight

Well that was robbery. We were good today, for spells in the first half we were excellent but we don't have a finisher. Cut them open countless times and a ball across front of their goal with no one on the end of it. Effort couldn't be faulted and no shortage of skill at times either. Felt for them today. We're not far away but time is running out.

Took the game to them right from the start and were playing nice neat football - deserved a goal but slackness in marking downfall again. The second goal from the penalty came from another defence poor connection and goalkeeper bundling into the Berwick guy - which was not needed. We still plugged away and we need a lucky break to get us kick started in games - too often happens when teams are rooted at the bottom. I thought that Paul Willis was a touch over the top with his penalty celebration - he must have thought it was the Champions League Final ! - should have been booked

That turned into one hell of a disappointing and frustrating afternoon. Hreat to see the supporters travelling in good numbers today, clearly recognised the importance and significance of this tie.
First 30 minutes rovers played the best ive seen so far this season. Berwick didnt have an answer, as per but it comes to nothing, can't score when on top and the inevitable happened. Conceed a nonsense goal which the boys couldnt recover from. Different team secomd half.
Some terrible passing. Blasting the ball out of play when a simple pass would suffice. Countless high balls into a box with nobody on the end of it. Chances to break away......only one red jersey to aim at quickly surrounded by gold jerseys. The second goal was straight out the school yard. What the hell gallagher was doing i will never know in the build up to that......they get through easily leading to a sloppy pen award. 2.0 - curtains. Shot ourselves in the foot which is the frustrating thing.
So scunnered yet i semi expected it. Fans arguing off the park, team losing the head on park........all points one way for me im afraid. That was a CANNNOT lose match today but we did just that.....lost. big gap. Cant see how the hell we can get out this now. Pains me to say it but damage is done.

First half played really well and pinned Berwick back in their own half...second have complete opposite. Lack of cutting edge yet again as chances wasted, second half had a few chances but were limited to just that,a few (and far between) ...we now officially have one foot planted firmly in the stinky stuff..disappointed (yet again)

Great summary Rover n out. Dominated the first 25 mins or so and could have scored from a great move before Prof even took his seat! First goal came from a corner. Initial header came back off the bar and was bundled in. Terrible marking and terrible defending at the goal and indeed throughout the entire game.
I do wonder where the over optimism comes from when the predictions are being made,
Potts was brutal at the second goal - that's twice he's done that this season - bringing the guy down when he's heading away from goal. What goes through his head is beyond me. Willis celebration was rooted in him getting pelters before the match from a Rovers fan who was calling him a w@nker so fair play to him.
Lino in particular and the ref came in for a lot of stick. BUT, they didn't change the game today. Not sure who was doing the complaining about not supporting the team but they were an absolute joke. People don't travel a 200 mile round trip to not support the team. Telling a few home truths to some players who can't do the basics isn't not supporting the team, it's being human and being a fan. Everyone who was there today was supporting the team. Blind loyalty is a questionably admirable trait but it's devoid of realism.
Fact is - Rovers are full of endeavour and hard work and lacking in quality throughout the team except for the Spanish boy. This is Brogan's legacy. And Ronnie's and whoever else was part of that shambolic decision making process. Inch perfect passing, shots on target, finding a man, defending well - we can't do any of those.
Berwick are pretty dire themselves and yet they've beaten us twice now. They took their chances today and were deserved winners.
There's no way we'll make up that points deficit. We've done every other team in L2 a favour this year by being absolutely sh1te and a stick on for 10th place.
If we get some of the dross out and a few decent/lucky signings in January and keep everyone suspension and injury free for the play offs then we might just about get away with this. Might.................
Decent travelling support today. I think it was Peter who said there were as many Rovers fans there today as at last week's home game. He wasn't far wrong!
Cowdenbeath game in two weeks time is a must win game. Must win for them that is as it will put the final nail in our coffin and virtually guarantee they stay up. It's already too late for us, whether we win or not.
