As a new member to the forum, will chip in with my tuppence worth. Should any share transfer not be passed to ACTIVE members of the supporters trust / volunteers who are PROACTIVELY trying to improve the club? Again an informal agreement could be reached that if they leave this position - that they will pass on their own shares and "stewardship" / interest in the club to new Trust Members. ( I recognise that negligible amounts in the grand scheme of things. I would again add that posting on a forum is NOT being proactively involved in a club or community organisation of any type - and would not in my eyes merit any shares in an organisation. So only those who are in the trust or who is a volunteer who comes along and helps clean the ground/sell badges etc should get shares....nuts. If that was the case then there will be a hell of lot of shares getting handed back.

Tinfoilhatman, whoever you are.
The following has been cut from my post made some time ago and echoes your sentiments.
"For the avoidance of doubt, the offer I made was/is as follows; I will make available to non-shareholders some preferential shares (face value and also current true value £0.25) up to a number matched by Eddie and Ronnie, the only 2 members on the BOD with significant shares. The sole idea was to allow the true ARFC supporters i.e. season ticket holders, trust members and well known long term supporters to have a say at AGM's and the like. I paid £3.00 for these shares, but I don't want anything for them. Any money raised from this offer would not go to me, but would be donated to the club to assist in some small way in its present plight. If somebody wanted to be able to attend an AGM and was willing to pay a reasonable amount, say £3.00 upwards for each share, then the club benefits".

Sam what is the problem with what tinfoilhatman said?
What is wrong with putting a bit of effort, of whatever nature, into the Rovers?

Brian, there isn’t anything wrong with volunteers and helpers. In fact the club would have probably went to the wall years ago without these folks, my father included.
Just felt that the point he made about shares only being made available to volunteers, active supporters or whatever was a bit off the mark. Pretty sure there are loads of shareholders of the club out there who aren’t active supporters or help at the club.

Forgot to say For somone who wants in DC not to be seen anywhere near the ground on Saturday... Bit unfair Chris, there could be numerous reasons on why he might not have been there. Could be unwell , family issues might have been at another club seeing how they run a match day or scouting players for Kevin ahead of a hectic last couple of hours of the transfer window once he overthrows the board. As a successful businessman I imagine he might have to sacrifice some games for his work.

I want to know who he bought shares from. How much he paid for them or was he gifted them by somone. And how many he got
