Excellent set of accounts and it is great to receive the positive letter from the chairman.
Loan paid off. Extra funds towards playing staff. Income matching expenditure. A great deal of work going on behind the scenes.
Keep up the good work.
Exciting times ahead.

Agree with most of what you have written, Peter.
AGM letter from Eddie encouraging, loan (almost) paid off.
Costs under control, funds going to playing side, all good.

How the f*ck is it exciting times ahead when we are rooted to the bottom of the league? Our existence as a club IMO is based on whether we escape the trap door or not. That is not exciting in any way but more worrying than exciting. I understand there’s happy clapping but you have taken it to another level Peter if you think this is an exciting time for ARFC.

I echo Paul’s words here. How on Earth have you worked out that ‘exciting times’ are ahead, Peter?
You’re more deluded than the Prime Minister...and that’s saying something.

No questions as to where the money has come from to pay off the Shawbrook loan almost two years early ?.......ah...the money tree.....no way it could come from cost savings.

Exciting times ahead.
Manager is getting funds to bring in new players so that is exciting in my book.
It's certainly a lot more optimism than I was expecting.
Now then show me to the Brexit lobby to support the Rovers Board.

Only on a Rovers message board could you possibly get someone referring out rock bottom position as heralding 'exciting times ahead'.
Unless of course a January trip to see us play at Dalbeattie Star is your thing.
I don't even think The Prof ventures into such hyperbole.

Tommy think the point Peter is making is that we have come through a bad time on the financial plane when the much vaunted business experienced director types almost put the club out of existence.
Getting rid of the big loan, at a reduced payoff, well done on that Board members, frees up cash that will be available to Kevin Harper.
The Board have got the club into a financially stable situation, not very exciting, but crucial.

Great News that the loan almost paid off and Well done to the board as that appears to have been their objective which it now looks as though they have achieved.
However would it not have been better to have found a balancing act where the loan was still being repaid over a slightly longer time and we hadn’t pursued the juniors policy?
Appreciate it might not have been as simple as that if lenders squeezing club.
On exciting times ahead, Peters correct but in a sadomasochistic type of way. It’ll not be dull.
Here’s to the great escape

Although probably worked out better as JB would have squandered it on more junior players. At least it’s left Kevin with a glimmer of hope

I noticed in the JG thread talk of propoganda being sent out to shareholders. What was the ‘propoganda’
Can anyone enlighten those of us on here who aren’t shareholders please. Assuming no City rules are being broken lol

After months of moaning from certain people on here the week of the most eagerly anticipated AGM in Scottish Football history is here. People are traveling from across the UK to be here for this must see event. Possibly more than some recent home gates.......and it’s all went eerily quiet!!!
What’s happening ?
Will the DC, LH, GP , RG consortium be pushing for a coup? I hear Mike Pence & John Bolton are sending support!!
Is anyone in the know (grant, that means you 😉)
If they are planning on a coup is there a plan , are there players identified to sign before window closes at midnight or are we hoping to get some frees.
Anyone any idea?
