• We have played 11 games under Kevin Harper. • We have lost 8 and drawn 3 of these fixtures. • We last won a game of football in September 2018. • We have conceded 24 goals under Kevin Harper. • We have scored 7 goals under Kevin Harper. • Home crowds have dwindled (at least 2 fixtures at Cliftonhill recorded a gate of below 200) • Kevin Harper’s new signings have failed to impress. • We do not have a goal scorer in the squad.
It begs the question, could we appoint someone with more experience/contacts to save our season?

I know in some quarters this will go down like the proverbial lead balloon - but a Director of football to assist KH ?

DoF would be my choice at this late stage. Dont know if anyone would touch this job given the situation. More sense waiting until mid May when season finished.
I'm certain the Supporters Trust will supply a DoF until then.

You hit the nail on the head P-R....all the Directors have arrived at the BOD via the Trust...no financial expertise...learning on the job...lack of financial transparency drove away two experienced men. Since then a bunker mentality has taken over instead of embracing ALL available resources of skills and expertise. Bearing in mind there is not exactly a queue of such people wanting to help ARFC

Why don't you barge into the next Board meeting tell them all to resign and propose to take over with absolutely zero backing.......oh wait Caldwell did that.

It's too late to do anything , the appointment of Brogan sealed our fate before a ball was kicked.
I'm 95% certain we will get relegated then there will be calls to sell the ground so ARFC can survive in some shape or form playing down at Langloan Sports Centre with Andy Morrison standing watching them with trusty polybag in hand.

Gotta agree, Buchannan, hence no changes at the AGM. Don`t think though there will be `calls` to sell the ground...they may be left with no choice.

I actually reckon KH will chuck it shortly. With each passing week in the cliftonhill quick sand his rep is being seriously damaged. The guy has ambition to do stuff in the game. He wont want to be that manager that couldnt turn it round and his first 'senior' gig results in the team going into the football wilderness. I genuinely think hes under estimated the magnitude of what he had on his hands here. If it worked out for him then he had good evidence to springboard to a better job......but it hasnt. Its now going the other way at a rapid rate of knotts. Bucky is right, damage is done here.

I’m not entirely sure why KH was appointed in the first place.
We needed experience, but vouched for a complete rookie.
Makes no sense.

Grant I disagree. Rovers get relegated then its a matter of time before they sell Cliftonhill.2 seasons at most.

Disagree TS ?...don`t understand.....that`s what I said....they may be forced to sell the ground...either if faced by a big bill for work needing to be done (like last summer), or the bank foreclosing, remember the bank hold a `charge` on the ground to cover the overdraft. Selling was kinda hinted about in the discussion about the money for the mobile phone mast to be received from `venture capitalists`. .

Our pitch is a tattle field, and had the opportunity to go for an experienced powerful proven centre forward. Still honestly baffles me how we didn’t get Gemmell.

There’s nothing to be baffled about, the club made no attempt to sign Gemmell. He would have signed if the contact was made...
