That passage of play was quite funny. First time I have seen a 'foul shy' for years!

It beggars belief really that these two teams are playing in the senior leagues.

Not really

Happy clapper-ish summing up..........
Two terrible, terrible teams with hardly an ounce of quality between them. Berwick had the best of the first 5 minutes with two decent balls into the box. After that, Rovers dominated. Newell took his goal well, belting it past the keeper from the edge of the box after a great through ball. He had another decent turn and shot in the first half and a good effort from a tight angle in the second half, both of which the keeper saved well. He's not really much of a footballer to be fair and he'd really struggle to get into any other team in L2. He's not alone in that.
Wharton had a good header from one corner and a shot from another so we had some good chances in the first half.
Into the second half and it was much more even. Half-ish chances at both ends with neither keeper really being troubled. Berwick got their tails up and we retreated into our shells a wee bit the more the game went on. PJ came out to punch the ball and clattered their striker. It was penalty-ish. The Berwick goal came after some sustained pressure and a few corners. The ball came in from a corner, hit a Rovers player then hit the post and was bundled over from that.
We went up the other end and had a fairly decent shout for a penalty for a push but it was too late by then.
A draw was probably about fair but we should have been out of sight at HT.
One other comedy moment....... the ref obviously had a tricky sh1te situation at HT and was very late coming back onto the pitch. He took a bow to the crowd as he made his way to the centre circle - not really sure why but it was quite funny. I thought the ref had a decent enough game considering the standard at L2 level.
Osadolor was rightly man of the match and it was a strange substitution.
If we can't beat Berwick then I don't see us beating anyone in this league. Can't see us reaching double figures in the points tally.
Yep, the signing policy starting with Brogan himself and continuing with his 'junior world beaters' and 'Alloa weans' will go down in history. Unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.

Quote on P & B
"Only 273 in attendance. Very poor for such an important match for both teams."
Let`s assume 50 were from Berwick.....

Sigh...wildly innacurate as ever. At least 400-odd there today. Quite a decent and very noisy crowd. 273 a very false figure.

So why publish a `false` figure, David ? 273 was the figure given to the media.

No idea. The crowd was far bigger than that.

Indeed,David, you are probably right, but its stuff like differences in figures that gets clubs into the brown stuff with HMRC (VAT)

A very decent crowd today and & very competent performance from the guys. We had chances to win the game. Gutted to lose a very soft goal with just 5 minutes to go 😓😓

Albion Rovers.....Frank Meade had to sort out big problems with HMRC left by previous directors when he became chairman in (if I remember correctly in 2004)...it wasn`t just gate receipts , it was a load of other things.

I was there quite early yesterday. There was a group of about 12 guys at the wee side gate all getting their free tickets for entry. I know we don't give away as many of these as we used to but still a fair few, yesterday anyway.
There's also loads of young guys sitting in the stand, all smartly dressed and wearing the club tie. Don't know if they are the reserves or under 19s or what but there's plenty of them. A number of others too all athletic looking and wearing the training gear. I'm guessing they are all associated with the set up somewhere and - quite rightly - getting in to support the team for free. And I mean there must be a few dozen of them. That all helps to make the place look busy as I agree the crowd yesterday looked quite healthy.

Oh please guys save the fake outrage. We are not getting relegated because we rather predictably couldn't despatch of Berwick.
You could pick any one of the last 20 games we have failed to win and blame any of them as well.
We are getting relegated because of a number of calamitous decisions at managerial, boardroom and player level over the last 2 seasons.
Even a win yesterday would have salvaged nothing. We were gone as far back as last October. Nothing has changed. Not a solitary win has there been to give even a flicker of hope.
Everything remains as it was. We have the play off games to go. All focus needs to go on them but right now we would get absolutely demolished by any of our possible opponents.

Quote by a Berwick supporter on P & B, talking about HIS team
"Sad thing is the amount of our fans posting in glee about what a great point it was. This against possibly the worst side to have graced the Professional structures of Scottish Football. The club is in real danger of going out of business if this alarming trend continues. Is there any plan and strategy from the Board to halt this journey toward oblivion and indeed start heading us in a totally opposite route? If there is nobody appears to be advertising it.
Brutal stuff indeed. "
Could have been written by a Rovers supporter about HIS team.
