A date for the diary. The annual club dinner will be held this year on Friday 6 September. As last year it will incorporate the Player/Goal of the year awards and the Hall of Fame inductees.

Just a reminder that our annual dinner this year will be held on Friday 6 September 2019 in the Indoor Bowling Club. Following on from last year's introduction of the Hall of Fame inductee awards as part of the dinner the club is delighted to announce that club legends Tony Green, Paul Martin and Alan Reid will all be in attendance to receive their awards. John Dillon's wife Alice , will be there to accept the honour on behalf of her late husband.
It would be great to fill the hall for this night and show our appreciation to these heroes of the Rovers. Tickets are £30 with a table of 10 costing £300.
This is a major fundraiser for the club and it would be great if fans and businesses gave their support in numbers.
As well as coming along yourself , it would be great if you could encourage others to come along and also use any business contacts you have to get support from that area.
It was interesting to note that 2 recent significant sponsorship pieces of business were achieved due to Rovers fans acting as ambassadors for the club by using their contacts.
That's a great model for the dinner also: let's make the dinner a sell out.
To book tickets please pm me on this forum.
Thanks
Ronnie

What do you get for the £30 ticket?

Prorege
For your £30 you will get a meal, a speaker , an MC/comedian, auction with interesting and desirable items, a raffle with excellent prizes , a chance to see 4 Rovers legends being inducted into our Hall of Fame: Paul Martin, who many say is our best ever manager, Alan Reid who was with the Rovers for more than 10 years, John Dillon who scored 4 against Airdrie in one match and finally, Tony Green who went on to play for Blackpool, Newcastle and Scotland after leaving the Rovers and who in the eyes of many fans is the club's greatest player.
Hope this answers your question. For the chance alone to see these 4 Rovers legends in person. I'm sure fans will snap up the very reasonably priced tickets.

Promises to be a great night with 3 Rovers legends there in person: Alan Reid, Paul Martin and Tony Green. It is also good that Alice Dillon will pick up the late John's award.
A night for Rovers fans not to miss.

Be there or be square!
Working on the text for Paul Martin, Alan Reid, Tony Green, and John Dillon's entry into the Hall of Fame.
Should have plenty on them by September 6. Mixture of facts, figures, achievements, best players they played with, best manager they played under, best moment, worst moment. Hopefully, I will ask the sort of questions that you would want to know the answers too.
From memory of last year, cracking night.
Meal, MC, speaker, Alex Smith was a terrific speaker last year, Hall of Fame, potential response from Hall of Famers, some do, some don't, last season's Player of the Year and Goal of the Season awards, raffle and chat. Actually, there was so much going on that we finished with one minute to spare before the hall was going to shut down.
Good night.
