Well, well where do you start when summing up today.
Glorious hot sunshine at the Coatbridge San Siro in April.
And how our guys responded with a superb performance. Smart's 2 finishes were top class. MOM was richly deserved.
Incredible few weeks which will hopefully result in a very unexpected League 2 survival without the play-offs.
AR, ARF, ARFC OK!!!!

The great escape almost complete! Itβs unreal considering a few weeks ago the points haul was 7! Is it too early to say Berwick next week could be a party rather than squeaky bum time? Iβll be there anyway!! AR ARF ARFC OK!!

Perfect day today. Sun shining, playing surface looked great, committed performance and dare I say some real quality shown by the guys. Kevin is a magician given what he has done. I wasn't convinced he was a great appointment at the time but my God it's great being proved wrong.
Smart was great today and I can't understand how QP let him go. Three Rovers goals from long throw ins and two conceded from free kicks, so there was a touch of deja vu as the game wore on lol!
Kevin getting sent to the stand was probably for telling the ref what everyone else was telling him. He really was crap today and just looked like a wee @rsehole if I'm being completely honest. Couldn't wait to give free kicks against the Rovers. Also couldn't wait to book Smart. A complete and utter f@nny. Didn't matter in the end.
A draw next week is enough and regardless of what happens I can't see Berwick winning their next two games. Too early to celebrate but what a difference a few weeks makes.
Massive congratulations to the players and staff. Just a shame only 253 I think it was bothered to turn up.

Without doubt a huge & massive result for us, well done to every single member of the team for it.
However, I have been a Rovers supporter for many, many years and the position that we now find ourselves in is absolutely typical Rovers......get your hopes up and then crush them. I'm thinking it's similar to Albion Rovers were winning 10-0 at half time - I still wouldn't feel safe till the final whistle went! There is still a job to be done at Berwick. We cannot rest on our laurels. Until that is done then I will celebrate!

Keven Harper has mentioned a couple of times the sight of Berwick players celebrating the draw against us has been one of the major inspirations behind our recent good run. Another battling performance next week please Rovers.

Yesterday was magic but work still to be done. Form says a win next week but focus has to be there and am sure manager and players will keep the heid and do the job. It may not be a league title but all going well it could be a party just the same. KH, the backroom staff and the players could go down in history as the team who saved our club. Best if luck, see ya there and let's hope for the same weather! π

Jimbo, all season you have been banging the drum for the happy clappers, now you're being cautious?

I've been called a happy clapper and a doom monger and everything in between. Just keeping a lid on it as the manager will be doing. Believe we will do it but don't want a crushing disappointment caused by getting carried away or arrogance. Gary Phillips to score the winner. π Cannae wait!

I know I'll just be repeating what's been said by now.... but Wharra game! EC score almost from the kick off....brilliant, stunning equalizer by Smart...1-1 half time. I miss the first 5 minutes of the restart, sorting out some memorabilia for the exhibition etc.... and come up to find we're a goal down again. "Subdued atmosphere" says Brian the Janny. Yes it was for a while then Gary, who's been inspirational these past few games, homes in on goal ... and we're level again! I'm beginning to think we could get more than a point from this game... and in comes Smart, a brilliant goal... and it's 3-2. All out display from a team of heroes. Smart's celebration of his second goal, totally deserved, was like you see on the telly (if you ever watch MOTD)from the likes of Sterling, Sallah & Kane. But it was a team effort. It's not easy being a ref but I think some are picking a bit on Smart especially. I too noticed the almost silence from the EC fans. So, we still have a job to finish but Kevin will be keen to silence the comment from Berwick manager Knox, that "I'm not even thinking about the Lowland League, as we're a better team than them" (ie us). Thanks to everyone in the hospitality suite for making this one of my best ever visits from exiledom in Geordieland. See youze all next Saturday at The Alamo!!
