Brilliant performance and result. I think the most pleasing aspect of is that we did not need to rely on the 3 points we were granted against Clyde. Kevin, Joe and the squad did it on their own merits. Well done.

Good to meet up again with a few of guys yesterday, Alasdair1946, Robert67, Jimbo, Marmiteman, Andrewrovers, Mossie, jamborover, Hugh, Fineen, Cliftonbill, mildrover,Roy of the Rovers plus other old friends like Andy M, Donnie H and George M. There was more riding on that match yesterday than the Play Off second leg against Annan in 2011. Then it was only a League One place at stake....yesterday our very existence was potentially on the line. Well done to Kevin and his troops.

Gutted I didn’t get a chance to meet the legend that is RoverGrant yesterday. Hope you enjoyed the game though my friend.

Likewise, but I had to leave as soon as the game ended to walk back through the town to get my train....station is half an hour walk from the ground.

Video highlights inconclusive except that Fortheringham's celebration is muted for a goal scorer, and the Berwick defender looks somewhat disaapointed.

Colin Woodward (I think) videod clips from behind the goal and these were posted on twitter - they seemed to show Gregor getting in just in front of the defender

Just a very late post, as I've been celebrating (laughing emogi)! We arose as the football club we are, Albion Rovers, to the situation and performed magnificently, the only word for it....players, all of them, manager Kevin and assistant Joe, supporters - vocal practically the whole time, all of us. I won't deny to being a bit nervous before the game but I did know that both teams would be at it from the start, it was never going to be a cagey fought out draw. I didn't think Berwick played like a bottom of the league team, nor the opposite.....they seemed to have more of the possession but it was we who struck with a vengeance. I noticed Kevin was having a lot of exchanges with Mr Harvey, who had declared that he was not at all concerned about the Lowland League, we're a better team than them (ie Rovers). Well he was made to eat his words! Saying that, I find the Berwick supporters decent, I had a chat with some of them on the bus home and told them I really hope they stay up, not just because it's the nearest away ground to me. They were not in the least confident but if their players can emulate ours, they could do it. I thoroughly enjoyed this one of my many visits to Shielfield, great to see so many of us there. I had to leave fairly soon to catch my bus but I've since enjoyed the 3 post match interviews on the ARFC site, of Kevin, Gary & Smart...each of whom I really hope will stay another season with us....and many more of our heroic players. We are fighters to the core! Can't resist it..AR ARF ARFC...OK!!!

Just saw this post on Berwick`s fb page......the poster makes a good point....
"I do offer some words of thanks to Albion Rovers - they only needed to play for a draw to secure their league status today, but they came and played attractive attacking football, fully deserving their win. Well done to turning your season around so successfully in such a short time and good luck to you all for next season."

All the more hoping they stay up... and that something is done to allow new members in to the league but to avoid the distress of a drop out through the trap door. At least 3 of us, Terry, Ben & myself, are planning to go to the second game at Berwick against Cove on the 18th. If anyone else is, could they let me know, so we could meet up?... but we'll have to remember not to shout "AR ARF" etc! Maybe if things go their way, it could be "BR, BRF BRFC..OK!" just for the day, of course.
