We are well advanced in the organising of the Summerlee exhibition and thanks to all who have contributed so far. If you have anything you'd like displayed contact Clare Weir at the Museum on: 01236632350 WeirC@culturenl.co.uk
The free official opening is on Saturday 6th July at 1pm upstairs in Summerlee Museum.
There's a great variety of things to see and hear, including - A selection of 50 - 60 brand new unseen prints from my ongoing photo document on Rovers. A rolling show of Wilma Smith's superb documentary 'We Are Albion'. Personal artefacts from long term fans Alasdair Turnbull, Brian Nugent and Chris Rafferty. Sound installation by Wilma where you can hear thoughts of the Memories Group. A nod to the speedway past of Cliftonhill. Contributions from the Marwick collection held by North Lanarkshire Council. Prints, photojournal and club shop items for sale. Plus! We're incredibly chuffed to have the Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass Band playing at the opening.
The opening event is FREE. Spread the word - copy and paste this on your social media, and we look forward to seeing you there, Iain
