Well done spotting the deliberate (ment) mistake Mr Tallan. Hope your directorship of the new company has as much attention to detail when checking documents. See if you can spot the other mistake and you'll get a caramel wafer.π Yes, dear. I'm now Mr. Tallan. Well I never. Do your research, and some grammar revision, #everybodyknows.

Sorry Chris you felt it came across like this. It wasn't ment to be I just thought I would share who I am without having a big speel. Ladies and gents, may I suggest we forget all about these rumour and scaremongers until they actually ever come up with anything, which is highly unlikely and seems like they,ve got carried away playing football manager. Even more worrying that one of these directors responding to Chris cannot even spell properly or use correct grammar, very assuring!!!!! I am one of the worst for spelling and grammar I would never had it against anyone especially in the way autocorrect can change things without you onticing

David you are quite correct and very well put. Putting DC aside it is correct to ask the question. What is this, why is it happening and how does it fit in with the Rovers. All valid points. However, and I'm certain you'll agree, the thread did not begin that way. Some appalling comments as some posters were most certainly, imho, foaming at the mouth at the thought of uncovering something. Even having a pop at a Rovers official. Some appalling posts on this thread whereby you have articulated the questions superbly. RoTR also provided a good summary of the public records and a link to what a CIC is. All very relevant. Hopefully someone, either from the new entity or from the Rovers, will clarify the role of this new entity or is it just formalising a model that is already there. I dont see much updates of the community work that the Rovers do, other than a couple of football camps, so I'm interested in this as well. DC I'm afraid brings the lampooning on himself. You only have to read the posts DoF Resigns. Rovers fans have had it with ego centrics who use the club as a platform to spout their crap. I remember when John Devlin was chair and put a thing on the forum comparing Rovers to Mr Ding's chinese restaurant in George Street Edinburgh before handing out contracts like prawn crackers.Caldwell is full of nothing but sound bites and little substance , talking about improving structures and being the interface between the manager and boardroom. Has he got any investment behind him or is it more borrowing against the club's asset. It's a well known fact in his first involvement with the club he was in the door 5 minutes and he was slating the then manager Darren Young. If he has major shareholder backing that will be enough to get him in the Board, guaranteed the first thing he would do is change the manager in favour of someone that spouts the same crap as him. The current board are great guys- made some serious errors that they got away with by the skin of their teeth. So I would welcome a change in board with a broader experience other than being a Trust member. That doesn't mean I want change just for the heck of it.

Cant fall out with what your saying Bucky. Clearly you have more experience with DC than I. I have met him on several occasions and like his thinking but I wasnt around for the DoF moments so cant comment.
I dont want change for the heck of it either but it isn't exactly "not broke, dont fix it". The crowds since January at the home games are a real concern which may lead to poor season ticket sales. As I've said, the mast money will buy one more season and ease the pressure but this cant continue imho.
The club is short of commercial acumen and a true football personality, someone with connections, ideas and plenty of experience. Running a closed shop isn't the way forward.
Anyway, good luck to the Board. A management team to secure, players to secure and unsure how all this Community structure ties in but with Josh leaving as well leaves a gap at U19 level. Plenty to be done.

To be fair RE. U19s, they arnt directly part of the club are they I'm not following this. Are the U19s not part of the club? How is this? Does the club not operate a 5-12yr coaching model as part of the community work then has youth football right up to Reserve level?? I've watched the U19s, fully kitted out in Rovers colours. Are you suggesting they are separate or something? Josh has been posting all season how his players have been called up to the Reserves. Surely the club oversee this model.

Really? I would say that being thick-skinned was a necessary attribute for taking on a public role. Very odd that you take the opposite view. Unless you carelessly mis-read my post, in which case a bit more attention to detail is required.

OK, we agree that thin-skinned people are not suitable for public roles.
That would clearly rule out DC from a place on the Rovers Board.

Or get him a backroom role working tirelessly developing young players ensuring the entire structure is in sync with the senior team. He could achieve this by starting a Community Involvement Company (CIC)..oh, wait a minute...π
