Just sneaked in to see them put the finishing touches to the Albion Rovers Exhibition at Summerlee Museum. I was speechless. It is stunning.🐝🐝🐝 Well done to museum staff and Albion Rovers. VIP night at 5.30pm. Official opening Saturday 1pm. Cannot wait. And you've guessed it. Pie and Bovril. Just hope it's Christies pies.😂

Still disappointed that the opening of this is clashing with the Hamilton game. Would’ve been good to attend both

Stunning exhibition! It was great to see the camaraderie amongst everyone at the preview & the positive comments about the club on Wilma's film. Congratulations to Clare & all the others who've put so much work into this fabulous portrayal of Albion Rovers FC, a club with a history indeed. Made me feel very proud of our wee club.

Thanks for the positive feedback folks, and thanks to all who came along last night at such an early time.
There should be time for a quick visit on Saturday before the game -
The brass band will be playing from around 12.30pm to 12.50pm. After that we will be heading upstairs to the exhibition space where Wilma Smith and I will say a few words and then John Smith will open the show.
There will be a bit of music after the opening but there should be time to get along to Cliftonhill. The exhibition is on until 27th October so there's time to come back and see the photos, the film and the artifacts donated by fans. There's certainly a lot to take in. It's a must see show for football fans and photographers alike...and it's free!
PS Fingers crossed for a review in tomorrow's Record (subject to the pic editors discretion)

Looking forward to going back to spend more time at the exhibition. At the preview event I was really pleased how great it looked and hope it raises awareness and interest in the club.
Iain McLean, Wilma Smith and Clare Weir of North Lanarkshire Culture deserve thanks for all their efforts to make this an excellent portrayal of the history of the stadium.
Also a big thanks to the Cliftonhill100 group who have given their full support through the planning of the exhibition.

There's some of my and Wilma's merchandise for sale at Summerlee. My own photos are also available as a photojournal, as postcards and as good old fashioned prints at the shop on my web site - www.iainmclean.com

Can only echo the comments made already. Just back from abroad and made it a priority visit today before going back to work. Could honestly spend hours viewing endless displays. Well done to all the contributors here. It's a must see if you can get along. I will probably nip in a few times before it ends in October. Also great to see so many rovers figures quoted who are sadly no longer with us. Congratulations to all involved.
