I remember Tommy Fagan describing his 22-yard header v Alloa from a Jim Deakin cross as 'the best goal he had ever seen at Cliftonhill'. Mind you, the same Tam Fagan then had him hauled off and subbed after being the best player on the pitch v Arbtoath. I have never heard such booing and abuse since that day.

Thanks for this tee, I remember I got Vic to sign my programme that he was on the front cover of. Can't recall the exact game, but it was a midweek cup game and I'm sure it went to extra time. Sadly I no longer have the programme. I must've been 13 or 14 at the time...

Great interview. Thanks for posting Tee. So many Rovers greats mentioned there.Sammy Conn,Gerry Collins,Bernie Slaven.
Vic comes across as a really kind and humble person.A true gent and worthy of being called a Rovers great.

Thanks for posting this Tee. A great listen - brings back great memories and lovely to hear from the great man himself. I had no idea Rangers were interested in him until they found out he was a Catholic or his involvement in the Clutha Bar disaster. Also very topical as Vic talks about the times he was told to "go back where he came from".
In fact I think I'll listen to it again.
