There is somthing strange that the social club soesnt have links to the team only uses the name, it's nowhere near the ground

At one time Rovers planned to have a Social Club round Sunnyside Road well away from Cliftonhill......the old Domino pub....work started on it but it never got finished...auld Tam thought it a threat to the Casanova

I'm sure I heard somewhere that selling or maybe leasing out this building was the source of their increased funding over the last couple of seasons...

You would need to add that to the money Jim Jeffries puts in ... I would love a wee club/pub like this in the town

Edinburgh City went out of business as a football club 1955. The Social Club kept going. 1986 Postal United asked the social club for permission to use the Edinburgh City name which the social club agreed to. So, the new Edinburgh City are Postal United. Read the article in the ARFC v Edinburgh City programme.
No idea how the geography of Edinburgh ties in with all this.
