According to the OSCR "This charity failed to provide information on its finances within 9 months of its Financial year end date. The charity submitted documents 51 days after their due date and they are currently being processed by OSCR."
Was there a reason for the late submission of the Community Trust accounts to the governing body for Scottish charities ?

Grant, the latest Community Trust accounts were submitted to our Chartered Accountant (who prepared the accounts last year) several weeks ago, well before the OSCR deadline. I was assured at the time that, despite an imminent move to new premises, the accounts would be submitted before the OSCR deadline. Unfortunately that has not happened, much to my annoyance. I was advised 10 minutes ago that the accounts have been ready to go for some time, but that ongoing internet problems have delayed submission to OSCR. The CAs are however doing everything in their power to resolve the issue (which has also affected a number of other clients) and I will monitor the situation on a daily basis until the accounts have been successfully submitted.

Thanks, Bill, doesn`t say much for the competence or organisation of the CA...businesses - be they charities or otherwise can get into serious difficulties with late submissions to the regulatory authorities. I was placed in that situation at a firm I worked for when neither Director (they were brothers) would sign off the accounts and subsequent submission was (very) late. In this case time to find alternative accountants methinks.
