Very quiet in Stenny social club. No other Rovers fans yet and it's after 2pm?

A good win on the day for the start of the new season, and 3 points in the bag, also Keven needs to make the sub change at the right time, that why lost the second goal to stenny.

Another deserved, fighting win against 14 cheats. Great fight in the team. The number of undeserved bookings for us while a nasty late challenge on our keeper went unpunished sums up the refereeing standard. Amazed he actually gave us the penalty but that was justice.

A hugely satisfying 3 points and a dogged performance to boot.
I do hope McGuigan enjoys his tea tonight...

Superb day. Great support (over 70 Rovers fans counted) and a sterling performance against a very dogged Stenny. More points in the first day than we had after the first month last season. Very impressed with Ross Clark, Lewis Wilson, William Graham, Sean Fagan and dare I say, Smart Osadolor. The other players were great too. Most impressed. Finally, special mention of John Smith, on his 76th year of supporting the Rovers. John started supporting on his 25th birthday so I'm told ๐

Another strong performance against potentially one of the main challengers this season. We looked solid at the back as Stenhousemuir tactics seem to be play the high ball for McGuigan to muscle his way through- we coped admirably with some bruising encounters and were dangerous and goal threatening every time we went forward. The league should take us seriously now - should set us up for an intriguing encounter with Cove next week !

Brilliant stuff today. Entertaining game and what a last 20 minutes. Nerves shattered after that Whats most noticable for me compared to 12 months ago is a) the fight in the team and b) we have a threat going forwards. Chris your right with the second and the keeper, but lets not forget some good saves in the first half. The boy is very young and we must all accept he will make some mistakes. Delighted it wasn't costly today. I'm such a fan of Smart, and having him to come off the bench was the difference today. That could have gone either way and we were all delighted to head home with 3 points.

What a brilliant result: superb! Oh and isn't Stenhousemuir that marvellous and vastly superior club with a great squad that we are meant to be in awe of? Hahaha. What a gteat start; Cove next-let's give them a tough time at Cliftonhill.

A brilliant 3 points. If Iโm honest I donโt think we played that well which is a good sign. Definitely scored against the run of play for the first goal . I was fully expecting Stenny to go on and win it after the disastrous second goal. Players deserve a lot of credit for digging in. Fagan was the standout as he was getting a fairly rough time by Mark McGuigan. The goalie had a shaky game taking too much time kicking the ball out and hitting it off McGuigan putting himself under pressure seem to start it off. Thought Smart was a brilliant outlet for us when we were under pressure and should have scored.
Looking forward to next week I think Cove will fancy us as a tasty wee morsel. They are in for a shock.
