There are no rules at present only guidlines. The only one possibly not adhered to is line of site although depending on where the operator was this could just about be possible. Suspect it was also pre-programmed to follow the route back to base. Link below. www.airmap.com/rules-to-fly-recreational-drones/

I’m just glad there wasn’t a game on at the time. One of our strikes could’ve taken the drone out.

The CAA - the UK authority - published CAP 393 which lays out aviation rules in the UK. It is a government legislated air navigation order. And a right riveting read.

Deary me, this thread started well and got poor. What is the issue with anyone on the ARFC fans board with a guy making a decent video from his drone??
When I watched it, at no point was I getting my frillies in a twist about whether it was illegal or not.
Why not give The guy praise for doing something different but interesting... or is that the issue that it is decent?

A totally unique view of our town Coatbridge including the San Siro. Brilliant😁😁

Looked at UK rules. Law states not above 400 feet otherwise similar to guidelines and the same rules for radio control models. An excellent use of technology and what it is designed for. On yersel!

Back to the flight. The flight of the Bumble bee, or drone. 🤣 Shows you the size of the ground we still have. Room for development on all sides, pipe dream unless we can get some cash, lots of it! Reality check, I wasn't surprised to see the rust on the covered enclosure roof, on what used to be called the Popular side, which it certainly was when I watched matches in the 60's. A very good film, though.
