Dreadful game, 2 dreadful teams on the day and a dreadful refereeing performance. We could have played all day and not scored, yet amazingly Cowdenbeath didn't deserve to take more points than us. I really hope this is just a dip cause its getting absolutely awful to watch again.

In all fairness we should point out that our much maligned keeper also made a great stop in the second half to prevent the BB from going 2 up.

He made a good stop last game as well but he is slow in getting down and doesn't command his box. Spectacular saves don't cover for the basics.

Thought the Rovers MOTM was the much maligned Jason Krones. His extra height was vital at corners and free kicks.A must start in the next game.Well done Jason.

I realise our supporters were at the opposite end of the ground, but was wondering if you heard the sound when the ball hit Sean for the ‘penalty’?
It was a loud hollow echo that anyone will recognise if they have taken a ball hard in the midriff and it’s certainly not the noise that the ball makes when it hits an arm. All the ref said was that his arm was out from his body. He couldn’t or wouldn’t explain the noise that the contact made.
Now I’ve also had a look and if the ball struck his body (which it did) then his arm (which Sean said it didn’t) then that is still not a penalty. So to cap a bad day for the official this was a truly shocking decision!

A ball striking the sponsors signage on the midriff. Decision gets worse every time I see it.

I don't think there was much Sean could have done about it but under current guidance I think it's a penalty.

I don't think there was much Sean could have done about it but under current guidance I think it's a penalty. That’s the thing, under current guidance it 100% isn’t. It hits him in the chest first, therefore even if it hits his arm it’s not a penalty. That’s the new rule from IFAB: “The following will not usually be a free kick, unless they are one of the above situations: •the ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from their own body...” Taken directly from IFAB 👍🏼

I can't pretend to have studied the guidance in detail but my understanding was that if the player whom the ball struck acquired any advantage (as Sean clearly did) then it should be penalised.

A referee has to make an on the spot decision as he sees it....we don`t have VAR...and I hope we never have....seems we are trying to find excuses (the ref) for another failure.
