Overall, Cove were the better team and deserved the win. They spread the ball about with ease and as the game wore on were given more time on the ball as our legs tired.
The first half was a bit more even with Rovers having a couple of chances, a sclaffed pass-back which we wasted & a Euan East shot which he should've at least tested the keeper with. There was also a bad challenge went in on Lynas which, from the angle I was standing, looked studs up, but the Ref only gave a yellow and to be fair was not much argument coming from any Rovers players either. He did look in a bit of pain but carried on till half time when he was subbed.
Cove dominated the second half and i'm struggling to think of anything that the Cove keeper had to do, we rarely threatened.
I can't believe I am going to say this but.....Potts had a fantastic game, making some great saves and kept the score down. Right, off to take my meds now.
Finally Cove obviously have a good setup (ground, sponsorships, facilities etc) but i've decided the location is pants. Crowd number looked healthy but got the overall feeling that the majority of spectators weren't genuine Cove fans, more Aberdeen fans looking for something to do on a Tuesday night. The general atmosphere just seemed a bit lacking.
Anyway, the steak pies were nice but was informed the macaroni pies were a bit dry.

What a poor performance last nite up at cove we sat off them and gave them far to much respect and time on the ball. I noticed at one point Kevin harper was sitting in the dugout with his head in his hands he should have been out on the touch line talking to players and trying to change things. We could have took smart off after 20 mins never looked interested whatsoever. We had 2 young boys on the bench and I feel Kevin should have took a gamble and put 1 on if not both and had a we go to see what the boys have to offer the team as they couldn’t have done much worse than we were witnessing. Tbh we weren’t expecting to take anything out the match so put the Young boys on the park and show the fans who pay good money to watch the team that your actual trying to keep your job and trying to change things that aren’t working just now!
Rant over

Sounds like harper knows the games a bogey sadly. Just hasn't hacked it. Time for change.

Didn't expect anything from last night but the league table and our current run of form in the league is beginning to look very worrying indeed.

If it wasn't for Daniel Potts playing the match of his life, I dread to think of the possible final score.
Two passmark.. Potts and Phillips who also played very well.

Gary Phillips looked comfortable last night against Fraser Aird I’d start him there Saturday

I think graham looked like a fish out of water last nite he never tracked any runners and he done nothing productive when in possession. I feel we have to be stronger in the middle of the park and don’t think he is the answer to our problems in ther!

I've said it before and I don't like saying it but I think Stirling have a better squad than us. Hopefully the players will prove me wrong.

Pleased for the much maligned Potts. We now have two decent keepers! I've watched Potts through the under 21s, reserves and first team. He has made mistakes which I would say was down to confidence but with games like this and a decent run in the team I believe he will mature into this position. With Chris Smith and Potts (possibly Goody)pushing each other they can only get stronger. I hope.

First conversation on potts I'm going to stay out of didnt see him the other night
For me he has always been good at making big saves in games but hes prone to big mistakes
Not confidence issue for me it's just part of his game
Example he made a good save to fort William's only chance on Saturday score was 0-0 at the time
