Thought I would start this one off by asking who we feel could come in and turn things around if the club were to get rid of Kevin harper? Me personally would like the club to bring in davie irons from stenny I feel he has a ruthless streak and no nonsense manager who I think could turn the club around!

Whoever it maybe it's got to be experience but then we've said that before. Honestly don't know who's available but change is needed before we end up in the same boat as last season. We do have a better squad but need someone to bring out their talents rather than dilute them.

I actually think the criticism of the manager is beyond a joke, and I am saying that as someone who hasn't particularly enjoyed the last few games I've been at. Points worth considering when these topics come up.
1. This point last year the team were an absolute laughing stock incapable of stringing 2 passes together, and getting into the opposition half was probably greeted with high fives in the changing room. The comparison with that team and us now is quite simply ridiculous. Brogan had to go cause everyone could see it was never going to work.
2. Kevin came in and saved us from oblivion. We had good fortune with the Clyde points, but he still saved us and as fans we need to remember he deserves respect for that. We would never have came out that Lowland league again.
3. Since when at Albion Rovers did it become unacceptable to be 8th in the league. Does the budget KH has been given demand that he should be much higher in the league? If so name the teams he has a bigger playing budget than with some figures.
4. We are still in the cup and other teams at our level have fallen to junior/lesser teams.
5. Even teams like Man Utd in their prime had spells in seasons where they had wobbles, why is it unacceptable for a group of semi pro footballers to have poor spells in a season.
6. When Brogan was sacked, we employed KH with no managerial experience. I am presuming this was due to all these experienced names that will get flung about either not being interested or not being affordable. Why are they going to come now?
End of the day we are all interested in the club doing well and we want to see wins and goals, but we are not rooted to the spot cut adrift and at this point KH I think deserves a bit more support than whats been put on the board at times.

As I have said before if we are struggling at Christmas then it may be time for change. I think Kevin will turn things around. We have no divine right to win games. Every team is fighting for their lives.
Get behind the manager and team.

Kevin should have a statue erected on Main Street for his work last season.
Give him a break, and the players, long way to go.

With all due respect to what Kevin achieved last season-he will be remembered for life for that. However he has it would seem been given a reasonable budget, and there is a squad of good players in there. In saying that, when you play every game with the ball endlessly in the air,and no Plan A,never mind Plan B-then we have a problem.A new guy with new ideas would invigorate that squad and have it playing to its potential. No time to be misty eyed-the past is gone.

It's not a case of being misty eyed or living in the past. The past your referring to is 5 months ago. It's not exactly a past era. What teams should we demand we are above based on our "reasonable budget"? You say a new guy but who? I'm happy to be wrong but I can't imagine we have a budget that is going to get a flood of experienced tried and trusted CVs through the door. It would be another roll of the dice and at the moment we are nowhere near in a position to be doing that. A couple of wins and the league table will look totally different, granted a run of defeats and it could the other way, but surely better for everyone to take a chill pill rather than start sacking folk for God forbid getting us in 8th place.

We are in eighth place now but heading to the bottom. We are going backwards since last season when we should be going forwards and with the budget we have should be mid table. We are an absolute shambles. Remember last season when the trip to Stirling was the turning point. This season it could signal the end if we are defeated again.

Couldn’t agree more with this statement I honestly think if we lose on Saturday Kevin will hand in his resignation. It looks to me as though the players aren’t playing for him and he doesn’t know how to deal with it!

Utter utter nonsense of a thread.
We are 4 points of a play off place and in a 10 team league we are mid-table.
As for some of the other guff being spouted it’s malicious and absolute lies.

Just an honest opinion on what I'm watching on the pitch and our record.

So 5 points separates play offs to the bottom and we are in the middle of that battle.
Hardly a disastrous position and has already been said, a run of results could see us in the play offs in a couple of weeks.
We are just as likely as anyone else outside the top 3 to go on a run and get into the play off places.
I for one am confident we will do that.

League record w2 d2 l8. Our if the challenge and league cup. Could easily have been out of the Scottish cup after the performance at home. Redeemed themselves away but back to losing on Tuesday. Our performances are dire to watch and don't see a run of results coming. Sorry but that's the way I see it.
