Potts is nowhere near good enough for this level and unfortunately he's proved that since he played his first game for the Rovers. Doesn't make him a bad person, he just needs to find his level - as we all do at whatever we choose to do for a living. That said, he was blameless today. Absolute nonsense. Potts has been immense during the past few matches and saved us from a cricket score on Tuesday evening. He should've saved one of the goals today (scramble in box) but the other players around him need to look themselves in the mirror. This isn't a one man scape goat issue. It's a team issue and we need a consistent confident team on the park. Not a constantly changing starting eleven. I would be the first to have a go at Potts if I thought it was justified. It isn't justified. Peter Peter hes the worst goalkeeper we have had in the entire time I've been watching rovers Pure dross and costs minimum a goal a game

So does Goodfellow. Doesn't matter anyway as the whole lot of them are gash now!

There is no doubt out goalkeeping position has been a problem for some time and it is negligence on the managers side that he has failed to address this.
However, it is not fair to dump all our woes on the goalkeeper. We have some experienced players in the side who are not only not performing but are showing no interest in performing under Kevin Harper.
For me we have problems in all areas, a leaky defence with no leader, a virtually non existent midfield and a forward line of lazy players who do not perform.
It's a matter of days(weeks) before we hit bottom and then what ?
I personally think out situation is more dire this season than last as no team in the league is as bad as Berwick were last season
We all know Kevin performed a miracle last season but looking backwards isn't going to take us where we need to be.
Please stop comparing KH to John Brogan. That shambolic appointment was done on a wing and a prayer by a Board looking back through rose tinted 1970's glasses.
Win or bust on Saturday because if we lose that one that's it for me.

I don't agree that KH has been negligent with respect to the goalkeeping position. If there was someone better available who wanted to come to us (and we could afford him) I am sure some contact would have been made. The budget we have is what it is and if we can't get the people of Coatbridge to come in bigger numbers we are lumbered. I do agree that things do not look good at the moment but have to accept that the manager knows more about footballing matters that most of us. If he has indeed "lost the dressing room" that is another matter, but we have seen that when the chips are down (latter part of last season or half time at home to Cove) he can do a job. I hope fervently that he can do so again and in the meantime don't see the prospect of outstanding managerial candidates queuing up to come.

He signed a dud from Berwick who were relegated to the lowland league. If he doesn't quit we'll be joining them.

This will be kh last job in management as I don’t think any other clubs will even look twice at him. Ye he saved us last season due to there being a poor Berwick side in the league and look what’s happend to them we are fast approaching the same way.

Ye he saved us last season due to there being a poor Berwick side in the league and look what’s happend to them we are fast approaching the same way. True-ish. Yeah Berwick were terrible but jeez we were absolutely sh1te when Kevin arrived. He cleared out a fair amount of the dross and recruited well. He had us playing a much better brand of football. We were beating teams other than Berwick. We got lucky with the 3 x Clyde points and Berwick imploded. But outside of that, Kevin saved us from a virtually impossible position. So he has something about him and he has demonstrated it in a real scenario. That's why initially I was prepared to give him a few more weeks. However, something has gone badly wrong here and even he might not know what that is at the moment. There is no fight on the park and no improvement over the last few games that I've seen. If he works out why and either improves things here or learns from it so he doesn't repeat it elsewhere then he's got a chance. This might be his last managerial gig but someone else might just take a punt on him. And it's always worth pointing out he saved us last year. Short-lived though that may be he will always have my gratitude for that.

Some of the players need to have a look at themselves too, No question we have a bunch of honest down to earth guys but can they really say they are leaving a hundred percent on the pitch come 5pm on a saturday ? From evidence in last half a dozen or games the answer is questionable to say the least most recent being swept aside so easily on saturday. IF yes we are in almighty trouble.if not then question is why ?

If you were to tell me that, after the first few games of the season, we’d be calling for Harper’s head, I wouldn’t have believed you. Our performance at Ochilview, and the 4-4 epic v Cove, left me quite content that we’d survive comfortably...or even challenge at the top end of the table. The dip in form is truly startling. You could argue that our squad has improved since the opening day, but this hasn’t translated onto the park. I really, really fear that if we lose on Saturday, that could be a hammer-blow to our hopes of remaining in the SPFL next season. If we’re lucky, it’ll be between us and Brechin. Stirling, although not easy on the eye, have goals in them and played some half decent stuff on Saturday. Kevin Nichol is the type of player we’re crying out for and have been fortunate enough to have in the past. Solid, no nonsense, a leader in every respect. He controlled the game on Saturday.

It looks as though it’s going to be another long hard watch on sat as kh doesn’t look to be going anywhere. We’re do we go if we don’t get a result on sat?

Honestly. I despair. Kevin Harper saved us from oblivion last year. As I've said before, get to Christmas and there's no progress then it's time for the board to discuss things seriously with Kevin. It's ironic that if the Hibs job was vacant earlier in the season, Keven Harper would've been a shoe in.
Get behind the manager, Board and team.
Up t h e Rovers.
Peter

People on here were howling for the dismissal of Paul martin after his team went 13 games without a win. Perhaps a lesson there somewhere, given his 'greatest ever manager' status.
