We should have won by more on chances created in the second half but needed a great save and a goal-line clearance to protect the three points. Undoubtedly an improvement on recent performances but we do have a way to go yet. I see varied suggestions for MOTM: I would have gone for Clarke, who did nothing very flashy but was steady throughout on the deck and in the air.

Agreed. Whole team played well. My top player was Gary Phillips: outstanding.

overjoyed my prediction got blew out the water. great result today, night and day difference between last weeks and todays performance. why cant we play with that level of urgency and commitment and willingness every week ? Toss up between Wharton and Phillips for MOM for me but in all honesty it was a good all round team display today. Keep it going.

Much better performance and deserved three points. My only complaint is we made heavy weather of it and was expecting a Stenny equaliser and they almost did at the end.
Would love to see the furore on here if Smart had missed those sitters that Byrne had and not being a team player etc etc

Good performance today by all the team and a deserved win. With a bit more composure, could have added another few goals and put game to bed.Slightly mystified by Scally and Robert's substitutions as both guys had stenny on the back foot in second half. However we won,and with possibly Graham and Stewart back in the team,we will be even more competitive next week. disagree. keep that team. no more changes.

This is my favourite Rovers snippet for a long time. A winning goal. BUT... you vocals tell another brilliant second division soccer story.. Bobby's pals were behind the goal having a bit of banter with the Stenny Subs. Subs were giving it back which is fair enough .. one calling the kids a 'faggot' in the nicest possible way - seriously im not trying to get him in trouble ... role on Rovers scoring the winner and the kids giving it back big style to the Stenny Subs ! ha ha GIUY. Love it !

Huge credit to our goal-keeper. Outstanding save to keep us ahead. Great all-round team performance. Sean Fagan (I think) also had a superb goal-line clearance.

Really enjoyable game of football. Not gonna say anything different really. 2-1 made it look close but we battered. Missed enough chances to last a few games but we got 3 points and that's all that matters. I wouldn't single anyone for motm, seemed to be 100% from everyone and it showed.

My thoughts on yesterday’s match. I thought goalkeeper was good when called into action. Back 4 done not very much wrong and defended pretty well. The midfield played very well they made some good chances and won the ball back when we lost possession. The front 2 had better movement and energy about them and probs should have score 2 or 3 more going on chances. I think we done the basics right this week and we see the difference with a win.

Great to beat (again) that super role-model of a club with their super squad and great stadium and wonderful directors. Haha.

The reason we conceeded was clearly see and smarts fault as they were lazy and on the bench Don't forget to blame Potts as he was with them! 😉
