Seems like the club has been a bit burned by printing a lot more programmes then normal for the St Mirren game in anticipation of a bigger sale but ending up being left with most of them. I would have advised that the Hearts U21, Fort William and Airdrie games justified a bigger print run. There are certain clubs where it is known they have a lot of programme collectors (and Hearts are one of these) and there are 'non-league in the cup' collectors who will buy any such programme. But it is always going to be a judgement call and I can understand erring on the side of caution to avoid losses.
I can't see any more games this season justifying a print run above normal - maybe just a slight increase when we play Queen's Park, so Passerby should get there early for that one.

Come off it, Ben. The experience of the two previous occasions I mentioned should have told you to expect a greater demand for one. To sell out by 2.35 is a poor show. Was I correct that the run was only 150? I'm guessing the Rovers support alone was a good 400 and that wasn't unexpected. The vast majority of the crowd arrived after this time and I would imagine many were left disappointed. Passerby - I always buy a programme at home matches but didn't get one yesterday as they'd sold out. Am I complaining? - No. The guys who produce & sell the programme are doing this completely voluntarily and do great work What's your solution? - If you think you can do any better then step forward. I appreciate anybody who puts the time and effort in to help produce and distribute a programme. I'm not actually a Rovers fan, as my username suggests. My solution would be to print at least fifty more for a game like that and keep low print runs for games v Annan and the rest.

Maybe the boardroom could pay for the 10 programmes they take every game?
