Why the rush to get the match played?
In the winter time, in the run up to Christmas?
A sure way to guarantee as small a crowd as possible, in as unpleasant weather conditions as possible, for watching purposes and indeed for playing. Just nuts.

It’s either that or mid February. By that time we could have several more outstanding games and in any case it’s Rovers v Cowdenbeath which quite frankly will never attract a crowd , especially midweek.

Nanook it's the SPFL who decide when games are rescheduled. As Roy says after mid-December all games are rescheduled for after mid- February. No games are rescheduled for mid weeks in January,
As soon as a game is lost from a Saturday there is a financial loss as gates( not great on a Saturday) are even lower on a Tuesday. A run of postponed games is a real worry for clubs at our level.

What annoys me is that we normally end up packing in fixtures in February yet we have free Saturdays in September or October or whenever because of Scotland fixtures.

Rovers not playing on international weekends is utter nonsense.
