The West of Scotland teams narrowly voted to start their season on 24th October and 14 of the 67 said they'd not play this season if that date was chosen. They have until today to pull out. A sad situation!

Auchinleck Talbot are another one of the teams
the teams paying the big wages are now pulling out as they can't afford to play without fans and don't seem to have any other plans
14 teams set to withdraw wonder who the other 12 are

Several of the teams have just installed floodlights and done other ground improvements in the last few months (Talbot included I think) and that'll have stretched their finances even further.

On the slightly light hearted side of a very serious subject, this must be the first club statement to contain the words 'quixotic' and 'multi- faceted'. Although this issue currently is about tier 6 and 7 , the Pollok statement addresses the issue concerning all clubs at all levels in Scotland and that is the financial impact of pursuing a campaign with no matchday income. The cracks may be showing at the base of the pyramid but a few more weeks or months and these will be also seen much further up. Ronnie

Be interesting to see if the clubs can survive a season if fans are not back. Lot of good players in those teams not competing too, will they have their contracts terminated?

No they already re jumbled the leagues and now have said their wont be promotion relegation which has riled some of the clubs, gartcairn aren't happy So it's basically a season of friendlies, no wonder some teams are unhappy. You can't create a pyramid system then abolish promotion and relegation. If teams feel they can't participate in the current circumstances then that's their prerogative but don't punish everyone

This has now been finalised,
This season there will be no promotion from the conferences (second tier)
If they start but cannot finish due to restrictions, clubs have until Saturday 14th of November to withdraw without punishment
Clubs have until 20.00 on Friday to decide weather or not to start
Junior clubs have become senior, but stil acting like junior clubs,
These are some of the reasons the junior game collapsed, everything being done to protect the bigger teams like Pollok and Auchinleck
