We can knock it on the head? Is that so? Let’s be realistic, surely the players should have exhausted all possible options before deciding to share transport to a game, no? How do you know, for a fact, that all guidance was followed? Are you able to verify the above precautions were taken before travelling? Let’s be realistic, Jaydee, our squad is full of young guys who probably haven’t even thought about the risk(s) posed by the virus. It’s all very well saying you, personally, have faith that it was, but with the number of positive tests it seems doubtful. Another misquote. I didn’t say I knew for a fact, but I did say to the best of my knowledge. “Surely they should have exhausted all possible options before deciding to share transport to a game” - do you know that they didn’t? “Young guys who probably haven’t even thought about the risk(s) posed by the virus” - So now we are generalising that the entire squad or is it all young people that you believe don’t think about the dangers this virus poses? Again, at the risk of sounding like a broken record the fact that the people sharing a car with the positive cases didn’t test positive themselves (and knowing how easy this virus is passed) I think it’s fair to say that they did indeed stick to the guidelines don’t you think?

ffs
We are a part time club doing its best in a global pandemic. Give the officials and the players a break.

Jees oh, Dominic Cummings kept his job, the SNP MP who jumped on the train clings on. Do I agree with his comments, no, should he be sacked, not yet. Ronnie's comments on the other thread are totally correct seems like the annual witch hunt (you"ll know the names, usual profiteers of doom) gang want the guy to go due to a comment. An apology would work for insensitivity but to compare him to John Brogan is a tad over the top. Rab also made excellent and sensible comment. Time will tell.

Fitba manager is asked a question and gives a daft on-the-spot answer. A really stupid answer.
Thats the story here.
Massive improvement last game. Let's hope it continues and get behind the team.
Jordan go up the Parkhead and throw a fence around. You'll feel better.

Repeat again. It's not just about his crass comments they are just part of the problem. The rest is what we see on the pitch. Pure drivel. Comparisons to brogan are made because of his record. The "witch Hunters" are saying the same as we did at the same time in the season as we did under brogan. We weren't wrong then and believe we'll be right again. As for the comments about throwing fences at parkhead aimed at jordie. Disgraceful and crass. Just like Reid's comments about the pandemic. At least brogan knew when to button it. A pandemic that all clubs are battling through but the rest are making a better job of.

We are rank rotten, let’s be honest. The lack of ambition is sickening and the whole ‘as long as Brechin are worse’ mindset makes me seriously worry about the future of ARFC in the SPFL.
Have a look at the leagues ‘below’ us - they’re full to the brim with teams that are desperate to make the step up and I really wouldn’t fancy our chances over 90 minutes against a number of them. We’re toothless and at real risk of disappearing for good in the next few years.
Reid, in my view, has made a complete ar*e of himself twice now and, as a result, generated some truly awful PR to the club...which is already a wounded animal.
You know it’s bad when the club physio feels the need to defend almost every single decision both on and off the park, ex-Board members remain completely neutral and unwilling to speak up, and a current squad member’s parent is liking posts suggesting the Manager should go.
I’m from the East End of Glasgow, rovers, and Parkhead is actually quite handy for me! Strange dig that I’m completely unoffended and quite baffled by.

Fair enough if you weren't offended. I would have been!

The only thing I’m defending is the truth. Car sharing, for certain members of the squad was unavoidable, whether that’s because they don’t have a licence or are not being paid and the cost would make it ridiculous or any other reason. The fact we had members of the squad car sharing wasn’t the cause of the positive test results within the club bore out by the fact that 3 people sharing 2 cars with someone who tested positive returned multiple negative results.
If all those sharing a car had returned positive results then we wouldn’t have a leg to stand on.
I have defended nothing else.
I have however had to come on and correct statements made by other people several times, that’s only reason I’m still commenting on these particular posts.

Dundee United have 9 players out for the weekend. Other matches have been called off for other clubs several times. Not exactly unique to Rovers now, is it?

Defending the truth, is that not the place for the club to do that and to answer fans concerns? Unless you are authorised as an employee of the club, should you really be on fans forums getting involved in debates/issues regarding the club? There are sections of the users in here will love you ‘defending’, there are users on here who won’t. I personally think it’s unprofessional the club physio to be involved in the debates on the goings on at the club. I’m sure I said this when you arrived on the scene, however length of time it was when you first started getting involved with the fans debates. Give squad updates on fitness etc but leave the ‘defending’ to the club. But, then again I suppose someone has to defend what’s going on... we have never heard from the chairman...what’s his name again? Answers on a postcard please.

When it comes to COVID related issues at the club I’m in a pretty good position to defend it. I really don’t care if you think that’s “unprofessional”. The rest of the debate.... have at it, I didn’t get involved in it. You tried to lump my comments in with the comments made by the manager in his interview and I challenged you on that. Other than that I haven’t got involved in your ‘debate’. Another statement I’m having to correct. Anyone else finding these incorrect statements tedious?

Don't have a problem with Jaydee posting. Illuminating at times. You're right about the club saying anything and particularly the current chairman who has a lower profile than where's Wally sadly.

You jump on anything that someone posts on this forum that could be deemed negatively towards the club. I have no issues with you posting on here, as I’ve said squad updates regarding fitness etc batter in. But, I presume you have authorisation from the club to get involved in supporters debates regarding everything that is going on at the club, whether that be managers position or day to day running of the club. 👍🏻

I have commented on the COVID situation as I’m one of the clubs appointed COVID officers, so I guess that would mean that the club has given me the authority to talk about that. Maybe if you ever post something positive I will be able to comment on that too, we can live in hope 👍🏼
