The point is we are not going to matches in winter. 2 home games off already by 2nd December. January is usually the month with lowest temperatures.
Also annoyed that we had so many free midweeks earlier in the season where we should have been slotting in some of the games we already had backing up on us due to participation in the Subbuteo Cup or whatever.
Does anyone aged 20 or above actually find any enjoyment at freezing to death on the terraces ?
Midweek games really hammer into the revenue taken at gates, pie stall etc.
I personally won't travel through for a midweek game unless there has been no rain and temperature is 8 degrees or above.
Well I might do if Tee Kasule's can of lager in the back garden says otherwise.

Remember that all the big games, cup finals, play off finals will be held at the end of November, beginning of December when it's baltic and matches could get called off due to the weather. I would'nt use the League of Ireland as an example as a lot of teams have gone bust or gone into administration since they changed to summer football.

Winter, if there are no fitba games to go to, how do we pass the time in winter?
Winter football is one game, Summer football game is a different game.
Bit like playing football on plastic, it looks like football, but it is not.
Pitches need a bit of give, summer pitches would be hard, bone dry, unpredictable bounces etc, new, interesting injuries for players, different game this summer football.
Matches can be postponed at any point in a season, weather is too unpredictable.
Will ask my brother based in Ireland how the Summer game is going over there.

Listen you, former Rovers ballboy, it just insnae happening. I am too busy wicket-keeping at cricket for football in the summer. (P. S. I was a much better ballboy than you, so there)
