What was the order of events? There was a slight issue where the tweets for the Kasa red 2nd uni goal and our penalty went out on the wrong account - didn’t even realise until Niyah scored his penalty that it went out on the wrong account- time frame between the 3 events was around 90 seconds - was a genuine mistake and one I’m sure won’t happen again

I said to one of my fellow supporters before the game and with the atrocious weather "Pardon the pun but I think we will make heavy weather of this today" Never a truer word was spoken. We scored probably the quickest goal in our history then sat back, took our foot off the gas and played far too deep. This has been a Sandy tactic throughout the season in my opinion. Every time our attacks fizzle out everyone runs back and we get 10 men behind the ball. This has been a tactic since we played in the league cup against better teams and it has never been changed against significantly weaker opposition. We played a 4-5-1 against the whipping boys of the league. today Joe was so far wide right he was almost in the pie shop and on several occasions he should have went in to the 18 yard box to help Niyah who was isolated but he stayed far right and that's cause he's told to stay out there by the management team in my opinion. Extremely negative tactics against a poor side but we weren't even on their level today and were lucky to get a point. They were the far better team for the first half and for the majority of the second. We only had one shot at goal in the first half after our our opener when Barry Duncan blasted a shot over the bar when it looked easier to score after half an hour. We had a ten min spell in the second half of getting to the corners and getting crosses in but no clear cut chances. Then they worked out that they could hit us with the high press and that's when they got their goals.
Sandy has to take some of the blame for this result along with several players who shirked out of challenges throughout. Sandy dropped Connor Duffy from the side when he did nothing wrong at left back when the team was doing better and he is currently playing Alex McCaw there. Alex has played well there considering he is a winger and he was good in the second half today but I would rather see him playing in his natural position and Connor returning. . Our midfield was absolutely shocking for that first half, they were the better team and they outfought us and outwitted us throughout that half and won every 50/50 as our players looked scared of getting their shorts dirty. We are far too lightweight. Barry Duncan, Stephen Oneill and Mcmahon were outmuscled physically today and the whole team shirked out of challenges. The weather was atrocious and the pitch was cutting up yet Sandy stuck with the tactics of short side to side passing on the sides of the pitch without anyone getting near the centre of the 18 yardline to take a shot. Our midfield plays to many side ways passes instead of trying to go through the middle and get into the box. Agree with a my fellow fan who said to me before game we should should shoot on sight of goal. We didn't and I feel for everyone including me who spent their money witnessing that garbage performance today. Rant over. Enjoy your Saturday night guys.

I'm guessing the sending off had something to do with them going 2-1 up? Ok, you've kind of made that clearer, ignore me.

I wasn’t there today but I listened to it via the Twitter space, utterly embarrassing performance from the team, Edinburgh Uni have one win all season and of course they had to get something off us, a defeat would’ve a disgrace but it’s not far off that, I might get stick for this but I think questions have to start being asked of Sandy and his assistant, the football is utterly atrocious, today is an embarrassing What is Mick Dunlop doing these days? Managing megabucks Gartcairn in the division below, Still baffles me how they can have 3 players on or close to £1000 a week Their team ran out to fireworks for all 27 people who watch them

Fans are 100% correct in questioning the managers position as there is no doubt we are regressing as a team. Top 6 should have been the aim for this season and decent run in the '2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps' cup. Don't give me this who can we get that's better than Sandy question because right now the answer to that is anyone. Wouldn't be surprised to see him resign. he won’t be sacked anytime soon but if we don’t get in the top 10 this season I think he should be let go at the end of the season, the performances aren’t good, the football is crap, I have no idea what’s happened tbh, around August and September there was such a good feeling around the club, it’s totally gone now, next weekend is massive against the shire, Sandy's old club, Ross and Niyah as well, definitely more to this game next weekend, we have to win

Fergie, have to agree with your comment regarding Connor Duffy. Throughout the league cup campaign I thought he was solid and then he was moved to left back without making any obvious errors. So today Alex McCaw is stuck there with Connor on the Bench. Could be he wasn’t fit and only sitting there for emergencies but although I think he was our best player today Alex is wasted at full back. His energy and forward running is sorely missed in the middle of the park. The lad we signed from Cumbernauld once again didn’t impress and starting Paton on a tattie field was just daft. It’s getting hard to to think of any postives for going forward. We are in the mire but we aren’t that bad we will be looking at relegation!!!! Who’d have thought that was ever a ‘thing’ 12 months ago

It's hard to see light at the end of the tunnel just now but we can only live and hope !

A personal thanks to the ‘Vers faithful who made the trip to the capital in horrendous conditions (both on the M8 and at Peffermill).

Top 6 was never a realistic aim in this league when you take an honest look at it, and the level of competition,I don't know where people got the impression we could challenge for the title I kept saying at the start of the season we would do well to finish in the top 8, I'm being proven to be correct We have no right to be better than the teams in this league and we don't have the squad or budget to bully teams out our way For reference if you look at the table based on points per game, (there is such a wide range of number of games played between the teams this can be the only comparison) we are 11th round about where I thought we would finish (I said 9-12) People need to reign in their expectations a bit, if folk think its bad now, I can't wait to see the uproar when EK put 12 past us on aggregate at Christmas

This is miles worse than when Brian Reid was in charge. Last year's mob on the whole were pathetic but at least they gave you hope that they could thump someone on their day. This team are so bad I'm actually wondering why I'm even bothering typing this. If this is honestly the best the manager can come up with then god help us all. Find someone else or shut the club down cause this is utter garbage.

From the highlights the goals we lost were absolutely dire. Definitely gone backwards as a team . When you stand back and look at where we are we’re doing exactly what Shire, Berwick and Cowden have done on their first season in the LL - struggled. The grim news is next year’s budget means we won’t have enough to re-sign the players than many think aren’t good enough now!
Next game Sandy has got to start with his strongest team. He’s not doing that.
