The lack of a prediction thread and any comments on the game speaks volumes about where we are. Of course it could have been just a(nother) bad day at the office! 🙄

To be honest I have mentally checked out of this season already but I was beaten to it by some weeks by our playing squad.
An absolute embarassment where we are at the moment. The team has been regressing for months and it's pitiful to watch.
A change of manager is now imperative to try and delay our plummet into oblivion.

Need to do better than that rovers, some big games coming up, and some of our player need to look at themselves in the mirror and start doing well to get Rovers up the table, Rovers are not going to do anything this season but next season better work there soaks of to get us back up.

Since the start of the Promotion/Relegation system introduced a few years back , we now find ourselves in the 'nothing to play for camp' for the first time in a generation. It takes me back to my very young days in around 1972/73 and 1974 seasons etc when we got to Christmas we had to sell a player to make ends meet just to see us to the bitter end in April. Just 8 years ago to the day we were 3rd in Division 1 with Dunfermline and Ayr United ahead of us. The contrast in such a short time is difficult to fully grasp. To quote from George Best's biography - Where did it all go wrong !

Welcome to the Lowland League. This is going to take much more than changing the manager.

What good is it changing ithe manager when Sandy is doing OK it’s the players. It’s letting the team down .

Absolutely time for Sandy to go. Failed to finish 9th (mostly not his fault) Failed to win a play off Was out the country when other teams were signing players left right and centre Results are crap The footballs crap and negative Yes you can blame the players too but remember who brought them in
As things stand just now i'd rather be in the house watching soccer Saturday and just accept the season ticket was a waste of money.

I would let Sandy Clarke go right now but sadly we can’t so at the end doc the season it’s time to part ways, the man has no clue, his assistant George is always the one shouting and telling the players what to do, that says it all for me, the Shire hadn’t won in 5 games before they played us of course, thanks for the little you’ve done Sandy but please leave at the end of the season

Also, the Home crowd has been a lot bigger this season since we’re been in the lowlands like not like when we were in division two 180folk at the game but well over that now abit more fans coming in, and what about the player budget to, we pay good money each month to go towards bringing in decent players, that needs to be sorted out we need experience players to get us out where we are.

I would have posted sooner but I have been watching the snooker on the TV . If someone had told me a couple of weeks ago we would take only 1 point off Edinburgh Uni and East Stirling in a double-header I would never have believed them. The players are partly to blame but Sandy tactics are the main reason we are in this mess in my opinion. Trying to pass the ball out of the back when we don't have the players do it is suicidal football, he has stuck with that same tactic all season. Shire clearly done there homework on this and they had at 8 corners in the first half and we could hardly get out of ours as they kept winning the ball of us. Their first goal came from an inswinging corner which I think Fagan got a touch on with a backward header which flew over our keeper's head and dipped into the net. We managed to get up the park before half time and Fernie scored a tap-in after good work on the left side by Alec McCaw who was again playing out of position as was Fernie on the right wing. So 1-1 at half time.
Shire had several attacks in the first quarter of second half and we were lucky not to concede but with around 15 mins to go Bright Came on and he scored a great header after a good cross from Connor Fellows. Then to quote my fellow supporter at the game we sat back on our lead. This was another Sandy tactic that has been evident this season and it enabled them to get up the park and attack us. There was no challenges from our defence on both their players who scored the 2nd and 3rd goal as both of them had all the time in the World to score. Our midfield 3 today of McMahon, Duncan and O'Neill were missing for long periods of the game, Ross Connelly should just punt the ball up for our remaining games at least there is a chance the ball will fall to one of our players in the opposition's half and then we we wouldn't get hit with the high press trying to pass our way out of defence. Our defence were shocking. Alain Reid was back from Injury and both him and Fagan had a day to forget. Niyah was poor again in the lone striker role and got no service again from the midfield. If you think it's bad now next year we will have two stronger teams replacing Gretna and Edinburgh Uni. We are going to be in this league for many years to come if things remain the same, The club is not generating income with the high running cost of Cliftonhill and I believe Ian Benton walked partly due to not wanting to be around when things get worse in the coming months. Without any sort of investment we are down the clyde without a paddle unless we sell Cliftonhill to get some funds and play our games at Dunbeth or Whifflet park with temporary terracing in place. Last weeks stadium was virtually the blueprint. Enjoy your evening guys and see you at the san siro next week !

I would go in with all the Albion rovers fans with funds to buy a piece of land between Coatbridge and Airdrie to build a small football stadium.
