Got to be happy with a draw considering the management decided that’s what they were going for half way through the second half with the substitutions.
It’s nice to see we are bringing in some new guys, and I do think young Callum had a smashing debut, but surely to god there are other guys out there who can play up front.
When Bright went off our threat upfront disappeared, so if either him or Joseph get injured who do we turn to?

No a lot of chances yesterday with Josh Tran’s shot off the post probably the closest. Good to play against a club who actually have fans.

Worth noting that Bo'ness- one of the much fancied teams in the division- didn't score a single goal against us. Pretty decent.

Was down by the traditional away end for the first half as rovers were attacking that goal - I would reckon about 50 odd scattered between the stand and terracing. Certainly probably more than what Edinburgh City or Stranraer would have brought in the Scottish League days.

I think 50 Bo'ness is about right, there were a few in the stand too. I was a bit surprised Fagan got MOTM, don't get me wrong, he was his usual steady self but I thought the new lad Hannah was the best with McCaw and Fernie ( playing in an unfamiliar role) the next best. My guess at the crowd is 310. Over a hundred in the stand certainly.

I thought the left-baxk on Loan from Raith was Superb yesterday and thought he should have been MOTM. He was great in defence and showed some great skills at times .I was surprised Bright and Josh got subbed yesterday with plenty of time left to get a winner .
There was a few long punts to Niyah yesterday after Brught went off which I think Bright could have got on the end of . A great defensive performance but we lacked a bit in the final third . Would like to see our Australian player get more minutes on the pitch . He could be a decent player but we won't know till we see him play. Draw a fair result.

Really disappointed to see the young ultras throwing a flare on to the pitch. They are letting themselves and the club down with their constant bad behaviour

Really interesting to read some of the comments on yesterday’s game but a there exists a distinct lack of acknowledgement around the differences in budget between Albion Rovers and Bo’ness. They are outspending us yet we matched that - to me, that’s an achievement in itself. Putting EK and Linlithgow Rose goes to show how competitive we can be on our day. It is no real surprise that the supposed “wee teams” in the LL raise their game when they play us. For many, it’s their cup final.
There is no shame, in my book, at shutting up shop and playing for a draw (if that’s what Sandy decided to do, but I’m not convinced). They were a big, physical side and we did very well to contain them for the majority of the game. Ross Connelly had very little to do, but probably should’ve been called upon in stoppage time when Bo’ness were denied what looked like a clear penalty.
As alluded to in another thread, the loss of Sean Fagan is huge. It’s also prompted me, as a recently departed member of the Board, to reflect on a few things. We are, without a doubt, making progress on the field. Sandy has the freedom to experiment, to an extent, as we won’t catch East Kilbride. The recruitment of a scout is a really positive move. What we need, however, is cold, hard cash to boost the budget. Before I chucked it, I was led to believe it was forthcoming from someone new to the Club. We will see if that materialises.
