Poor all round. Poorest performance all season(?) But we did hit the bar once, the post once and on another day would have scored two. They could have run up a cricket score

Utterly shambolic performance today.
Only the subs got pass marks.
Niyah looked like a passenger and I suspect was carrying an injury so shouldn't have been playing imho.
Almost 50% of the 9 points Edinburgh Uni have this season have been won against Albion Rovers.
Simply not good enough.
We get superb performances week in week out then this.
Glad we had nothing to play for. It showed.

Dire end of season drivel. The only thing worse than the ref was us! Still at least the neds got dealt with. Should have made them stay and watch the game!

What an absolute beamer of a result.
If Uni had any fans they would surely have been singing 'Can we play you every week' on their way back to Morningside.

That today was an utter utter embarrassment. The players and management team have really let themselves and the fans down massively.
It's honestly a massive reality check for us all. Anyone who previously had any mad ideas that anyone of that lot would get us involved in a title charge are living in cloud cookoo land. We don't score anywhere near enough goals. A mix of being too defensive and players who couldn't hit a barn door. The Edinburgh uni results and Gretna performances v effort in harder games show a team who think they are far better than they are, and a management team who can't motivate players properly.
Despite everyone being brutal today, Sandy carried on with Niyah who was the worst. Can be good at times granted but even when he's rank rotten, Sandy seems terrified to haul him off. Beyond frustrating.
Anymore performances like that and the stands will be more empty than they are just now.
Total pi$h.

Sandy could do worse than sign their No. 8 (Hendry?) who had that amazing run down the byline in the first half and only a great Ross stop prevented him from making it 2-0. The No.11, Sam Raphael, was also way above any Rovers player. A big lad with a presence which we lack. The two sitters Joseph and McCaw missed were incredible. But bad as we were, I did not think they looked like a bottom of the league side. Very dogged in defence with swift counter attacking.

Any time I fantasise thoughts about a return to league football the words Edinburgh University will quickly bring me back to reality.

Make no mistake t was a complete and utter shambles today. we got what we deserved, it was a like a re-run of the game in Edinburgh when we were lucky to get a point, in fact I think it was worse, yes we did hit the post and missed chances and their was a ridicilous offside decision from a shocking referee but they could easily have scored more.
I have been at a lot of games were Niyah was poor but that was his worst game this season, no matter how bad he plays Sandy will never take him off. Bright should have been on the pitch from the start against their big centre halfs. Niyah got nothing from them and looked like he couldn't care less like the majority of them today. They must have thought after beating cumbernauld they would just need to turn up to win but they didn't. You could have driven a double decker bus through our midfield today. Mcmahon who had been good recently was well off it today as were Duncan and Quigley. Fernie ran down the tunnel again at the end with his shirt over his head just like he did in the Spartan's Play off game. That's summed his performance and the majotity of the team's. We made them look good and gave them far too much time on the ball with no challenges going in on sevral occasions we we were just ball watching. McCaw got passmarks from me he tried his hardest but he is better on the right wing. Sandy just loves playing players out of position. Our first home defeat since the Cowden game at Christmas and today undid all the good work this year. Deflated doesn't cut it!

I just hope the manager shows the players all of the comments on here today. And if that doesn't get a response next week I don't know what will. Play like that again next week and we may as well put the reserves on against EK. Just hope EK don't gain promotion play off against us on 2nd April. Knowing our luck, we'll run riot with them again. Cannot understand how we can dominate against the teams at top of league but really really struggle against the teams at bottom. Look on the bright side, it saves a win bonus being paid out. Totally ruined my weekend. I honestly thought we'd put 4 or 5 against them today. Peter

Off days happen.
These young lads have been a credit to ARFC over the last few months.
I’m proud of their efforts.
