Getting embarrassing now... any spot of rain then the game is off...Junior sides manage to play in the rain but the minute coatbridge gets any rain it's another game off.. club needs to start looking at this as midweek games are useless to a lot of folk as there working. It's embarrassing that the Scottish weather is bad and our pitch is waterlogged? C'Mon man, we have had snow and now constant rain for a few days. Not much the club can do.

Surprise surprise THAT'S ANOTHER MID WEEK GAME I CAN'T GO TO. And to think I was going to get a season ticket for my daughter and me. What's the point of getting one? CAN THE CLUB PLEASE ADDRESS THE MAJOR CONCERN OF THE PITCH. I'm sure Hughie would've got the pitch playable,#bringhughieback.

Hopeless. No doubt everybody's heart will be ruling their heads here as we all wanted the game on. Frustration will inevitably kick in. First game on Scottish fixture card off again!!!! More Saturday revenue lost. Your no telling me cliftonhill is any different to surfaces at East Stirling, Cowdenbeath, Brechin etc etc. So disappointing.

Guys wee bit harsh to blame the club for the pitch/weather. Its why for me a season ticket is a waste of money. Tuesday evening football is hopeless and unfortunately we tend to play a reasonable chunk of our home league games on a Tuesday evening, alternatively you turn up in days like today drenched and freezing to watch it. I stood this morning for an hour watching my son play in it and its zero fun, rain and 2 degrees at the time. For me our climate just doesn't go hand in hand with football over the winter, however I bet we will be having the same discussion in 20 years.

What about the Partick match last night? I believe they're an SPL side.

Before having a go at me...look at today's Scottish fixtures> Our game is the only one off Fair play, I'd have thought other games would have been off. Disappointing to be only ground calling off.

I'm afraid the club are in part responsible for the number of call offs. Not the current Board but previous Boards.
The club relaid the pitch in 1988 with field drains installed- silt traps were located at the touch line ( covered with 2x2 slabs) the traps have to be emptied to stop the drains clogging up- Jimmy Lawson used to do it. Now you don't even see the slabs at the edge of the pitch because the drains will be so full now you wouldn't be able to see the brick chambers.

Where do you start with this one ?.Another blank Saturday and yet more much needed revenue lost.
Thanks to Bucky for the info about the drains.
It seems only a few seasons ago we were said to have had an excellent drainage system which was one of the reasons we had so few postponements.
I don't think it's a coincidence that since we lost Hughie (jumped or pushed) our pitch just isn't the same.
You cannot legislate for February weather but to be the only senior game off today reflects badly on the club.
I don't think we will be having the same discussions in 20 years.Sooner or later we will move to summer football or face more and more blank winter Saturdays.

Combination of extreme weather and historical drainage problems Went up to see what the situation was this morning but constant rain from yesterday had caused the problem . Yesterday the park was in great condition but 24 hours of deluge was the main factor with this one .

Yesterday the park was in great condition but 24 hours of deluge was the main factor with this one . The parts of the pitch that waterlog the worst are down the wings which would make sense as these are the areas where the existing drains would lead to the blocked silt traps at the touch lines.

Personally I think it's all Tee's fault. He said he'd square it with the ref but obviously he didn't.
