Bucky, never mind titles like DOF, etc, the club needs people with business and or football experience, David Caldwell had both and in my opinion his departure is a loss to the club. With no disrespect intended to anyone, careers in public services don`t exactly prepare individuals to run a business - and at the end of the day that is what ARFC is - negotiating with bank managers, football authorities etc etc. You only have to look at the BODs at other clubs - Forfar as an example - to see the blend of skills and experience that their off field Club (not team)management team bring to the party. Grant I agree with your comments on David, I too am not being disrespectful to anyone, I just hope the club is supporting the manager and hope David’s departure and todays result is not a reflection on things to come. I did hear one of the reasons for David’s departure was he was unhappy about the team training on the pitch? I was told today from another volunteer, the club refused to reimburse him when he paid for the team to train at a 3G facility and left on a matter of principal when unsupported on another matter? Respect to him if this was the case and wish him well. I hear the main reason for him leaving was the fights he was causing in the background. I heard on several occasions there were almost actual fistfights down to his behaviour. And i herd due to his behaviour we were nearly relegated. Just bizzare him being there in the first place if you ask me. Personally i wouldnt be surprised if it was him that messed up the registration of u20s playets that caused us to get thrown out of the challenge cup

An astonishing number of 'club insiders' seem desperate to 'confide' in 'new rover'. Most interesting...

I heard from the son of the wee wumin that sells the pies that Rovers in recent years has been a magnet for ego maniacs who say they will do this and that for the club but in reality it's a platform to spout their crap. Was also hearing that the structure for the pie shop is now in place ready for the Champions league.
I was hearing from a lifeguard at the Time Capsule that life at Albion Rovers is tough and that there is no substitute for blood sweat and tears of the past.
I also heard from the friend of the person that washes the player's Jock straps that some of the posts on this thread make Donald Trump look sane.

No problemo Grant. I'm hearing from a ballboy's pet budgie that David left a structure in place for a robust Cliftonhill laundry department and a skid mark free playing kit.

Bucky you need to move with the times aw these young fitbaw players have never heard of jock straps, am hearing its box protectors their into now ,nicked the idea from that sport that old Stewmelrover enjoys partaking in. You must be same age as me,I remember playing with a Jock Strap,he played with me for the Rosehall HS team around 1980,was a massive support up front, but useless at the back as far as I can remember. Ahh those were the days, ralgex, spearmint chewing gum, macaroons bars sock garters and trannies(ooh matron ).

Have got to agree 100% with Grant relative to business acumen and a football background required on a Board of Directors of which I think Ian is the only one possessing a business background as I don't think David Douglas is a Director. If you look at our previous B.O.D's there was always a businessman on it.
What also doesn't help is the rumour, innuendo and ill informed comments which are appearing on this Board which only helps to fuel uncertainty about where the Club is heading.
What is concerning, however, is the vast turnaround in personnel leaving the Club over the past couple of years. That is unsettling for everyone and those in charge need urgently to bring some stability to bear or we are going to stutter and stammer until the Club folds.

Very strange indeed. Club 'insiders' desperate to tell him all about the 'turmoil' but no-one knows who he might possibly be. His very earliest posts were to insult the chairman and others. All 'very odd indeed' from this 'man of mystery'. Scotland Yard were baffled...Surely someone can tell us who this ghostly stranger is?!!!!!
