ah well - no disgrace. Thought we played well in parts, gave them too much space for the goals.. we actually had more possession but just couldn't get that wee goal. ref gave them everything in the first half. Bit of a 'stramash' in the stand to add to the excitement.... more confident now for the rest of the season if we can battle like that every week.

Thought shields was a standout tonight, excellent pressing and running throughout the game, causing the saints backline problems all night

Can’t fault our effort there but I must admit even with a makeshift defence I’m disappointed in the goals we lost tonight. Whether you’re playing Stranraer or St Johnstone how we failed to defend that first goal is completely beyond me. First thing you are wishing in scup tie against SPL opposition is not losing an early goal. It was fairly academic after that. Thought Conor and Victoria did well and caused them a couple of problems. Holmes put in a good shift as well. Was always going to be a tough shift so it was no disgrace.
We need to start gathering league points NOW!

Rovers gave their all; Shields was superb. Onwards to staying up now hopefully.

No real complaints about the final score tonight with what we had at our disposal. boys put in a shift against premier league opposition and we actually had more possession according to bbc stats but its goals that count. connor ran his guts out and no disgrace in final scoreline, tho i still reckon second goal was totally avoidable. back to more important matters saturday tho. lets get some points in the bag. onwards and upwards.

The game went very much they way i thought it would go . If only we had no suspensions/injuries - played on the original Saturday when St Johnstone would have been even more colder than last night , might have been different. But the media have been generous in their opinions of us. Saw the Dunlop bros and Darren in the stand - wonder what their thoughts were. More so Kenny Miller ( he scored a hat trick here when with Stenhousemuir on loan) . Thought the young lads that came on as subs looked promising. We need a positive break just now - hopefully we have turned a corner and we can Spring into the coming months!

Yeah all fairly predictable really. St J got the early goal that settled them and they allowed us as much of the ball as we wanted. i actually thought we had the best of the first half. Similar story in the second half - early goal again but after that it was just a case of how many.
Connor did really well and his pace troubled Saints. Ross Davidson had a decent game I thought. Rest were okay actually. Keeper commanded his box well and maybe should have done better at the third goal was it where the shot went through him?
Makeshift/inexperienced/shambolick/bomb scare/help mammy daddy, defence at times but it's been like that all season. We had 4 and 5 at the back last night but to coin the good old phrase - "they couldn't keep weans oot a close". You've no chance if you can't master the basics.
4 of Police Scotland's 'finest' and a steward escorted a teenager out the stand. Meanwhile granny's the region over aren't safe to walk the streets at night ffs. Not really sure what that was all about but it was majorly over reactive.
No disgrace in the result. The club will have made a few quid if not a windfall. League is all that matters now.

The referee was certainly 'very protective' of the Pampered Perth Poodles last night. Must be great watching Premier league football: punted it up the park all night. Rovers at least tried to play some football. Oh well: Trouten back; watch out, Arbroath and Raith Rovers.

From what i heard the adult punched the kid,and 2 kids were taken down to give a statement and to make sure they were ok.
No wonder saints punted the ball, barcelona couldnt play on the deck on that surface.Ive walked the dog on better parks. 4 goals and i dont think they had to work hard for any of them.We never got enough support to the front 2.But cant fault anyones effort as they all gave 100%.Michael wouldnt have been my man of the match but he was still charging up and down in 90th minute which about sums up the shift put in by all. But putting a shift in will only go so far and its now back to league business where they need to start picking up much needed points.

Some of the chanting from the kids was pretty choice, thought it was definitely worth a word from the stewards. Presumably that was the Radio Scotland guys in the box directly behind them. Not great.

No stewards .... repeat absolutly no stewards...... in the stand until..... (to use Arthur Montfords word ...Stramash happened) then they appeared about 5 mins after incident from the Tunnel (did,nt se what happened myself),fans were saying some wean got a bloody nose. First aider appeared then four police . If stewards were in the stand ,stewarding the fans which there there paid to do .......not appearing in groups of three from the tunnel then going in to a 'celtic style huddle' to discuss the price of Prosecco in ASDA .......stramash most likely could have been avoided. Stewarding which the club paid for was in this instance just did,nt happen.

From team list against St Johnstone on BBC web site, a few queries. McMullin (BBC) or McMullan (ARFC official site)? Is Okane, sub no 16, really O'Kane? Is there a reason John Queen, sub no 19, is listed with forename surname, do we have other players named Queen? And hate to ask this but Victoria on BBC site and ARFC official site, thought it was Vitoria?
