Yes i have , but from what i seen today and i know it's only one game , the two new centre half's looked very good particularly the boy Mbayo who looks very solid. We have been very poor all season at the back but today despite the loss we looked OK and didn't have the usual shambles we have been used to. I hope these 3 additions can improve the defensive record. Despite the loss we looked ok,?,,,,what one of the last 17 matches were you talking about there??

Agree with Sharkey (Andy)-we are a shambles full stop-one win in last 4 months tells you that.I could tactically set us up better. No more sentiment crap-we are heading towards relegation trapdoor, and that is fact.

I like Brian Kerr,i like the way he tries to get the team to play and had us playing earlier but even im losing patience now.And with the next 3 matches against raith, ayr, raith i fear thats another 3 defeats. Sorry Brian but its time to go. Andrew-why do you always post S***e and annoy people? Brian to go-absolute rubbish. Can't agree with you here Ian, its an opinion, I love opinions, that's what message boards are all about. Sometimes people might not agree with somebody else's opinion but that doesn't mean they don't have the right to voice them, as long as they are not insulting etc. Regarding my earlier post, I obviously don't see the team as often as you guys do, I rely on what is written on here and my own observations when I do manage to get to a game. I have reservations about the keepers and agree with what was written earlier regarding the signing of one during the January window. However this is the Rovers and unless I have missed the bit where a Russian oiligarth has taken over in the boardroom we cannot trade in the market place because we don't have the funds to do so. It appears that the addition of the two on loan defenders might be a step in the right direction and I wouldn't judge them on the next 3 games. There is a reason that Ayr and Raith are higher up the table than us, the fact they are better overall than most of the teams in this league. If we are to get relegated it wont be because we didn't get max points of them. On Sharkeys opinion about changing the manager, yes there is proof that teams that are struggling can get a bounce out of a new guy coming in the door, but I go back to my original point, we don't have any money to pay off a manager and then bring someone else in. People weren't looking for Brian Kerrs head when we were picking up the points against Raith etc earlier in the season when talk of play off spots was being muted, I said at the time these wins were money in the bank rather than prospective promotion points and would be for a time when we went into a bad run....which we normally do. Bad runs like good ones usually come to an end, perhaps the end of our bad one is just round the corner....then again that's just my opinion, If that's alright with everyone

That's a good balanced post Sam. I agree about bad runs and them coming to an end. It ain't going to be in the next three games though! Being realistic I think we'll end up in the play offs and I don't fancy our chances there.

With greatest of respect I find the argument about limited budgets and having no Russian oligarchs quite a lazy argument. Stranraer announced a fire sale of their playing squad prior to Christmas which I assume were due to financial difficulties yet they easily swept us aside last week.
Rovers of late have not been a club who routinely sack managers and I don’t see that changing in the foreseeable future. For me the manager needs to start taking responsibility- his first mistake was not keeping the Dunlop brothers easy with hindsight and new managers always want to sweep with a new broom but massive mistake all the same.Second mistake was the players he signed in their place-a pair of absolute comedians. Marr who is allegedly the best part time player who ever played the game will not be getting paid 50 quid a week has proved to be injury prone and lacks discipline. Kerr has not got the basics right by emphasising attack instead of sound defence. That’s great if you enjoy watching your team at Methil throw a 4-2 lead away in the last 10 minutes- great entertainment? Kerr’s comments of late putting our recent form down to “bad luck” , “bad refereeing “ again also suggests lack of responsibility. On the positive side I was expecting a heavy defeat yesterday and apparently it was a wonder goal that won the game. Maybe the new central defensive pairing might work-will be interesting to see what happens especially when Cannon and Ball come back from injury.

So............ not only is Marr the best player in the world, ever, he is on the brink of developing a cure for cancer and securing world peace allegedly. He's also nice to his mum, small children and animals. He's always been injury prone which questions the merit of signing him in the first place.
Keeping half of the Dunlops might have been a shout but the defence last year wasn't much better than this year. Perry came from Clyde who nearly ended up in the Lowland League ffs and so is what he is. Although Scotty was at Clyde and I think he's turned out to be pretty solid.
Managers as a breed aren't great at facing up to their shortcomings and Kerr is no different. I don't see that changing him would make much difference. This time last year it was obvious the team had stopped playing for Darren (I think anyway) and we scraped over the line.
Gut instinct last year made me think we'd get there. Gut instinct this year says no, it"s already too late.

Last year we lost 48 goals for the whole of the season. So far with 14 games to go we have shipped 53. Not really much more to say when comparing this years defence to last.

Kerr wasn't manager when M. Dunlop had already decided to bail to Larbert. (Gets the blame anyway).

It's good to see some open and honest debate as to where we are a present.
For me I couldn't see anything other than a bottom 2 finish for Rovers this season so we are well on course to meet my bleak prediction.
Only time will tell if we can shore up our defence over the next few weeks.
I suppose it tells it's own story when I view a 1-0 reverse at Arbroath as quite a good result.
