The worst home record in the division, and 3rd worst in the country, with Cowdenbeath and Brechin having worse home records than us this season [br The pitch is probably the worst in the league and that’s not helping alongside all the negativity from fans. So instead of all the doom and gloom get behind them and show them that they are supported 100%.

The difference I notice in the away games is that we can string passes together even although we do not get a positive outcome . At least we are not just hoofing it forward in the vain hope of getting a lucky goal. At home we cannot seem to play smoothly on the deck. The pitch is the biggest deterrent at home and this is no slur on the faithful grounds men over the years who have worked long hours to get the surface playable .It is the years that have caught up with us and the need to go to the surfaces that a lot of the lower league clubs have now adopted. The costing is the major obstacle.

Ive been to almost every single match this season, home and away and i can honestly say the fans that turn up have done nothing but back the team 100%. Any negativity seems to be kept for on here so i dont think the fans negative comments has had anything to with our abysmal run of form stretching back 5 months. I honestly cant see where we are going to get points from to stay up and feel the club made a mistake by not changing manager.Thats not doom and gloom, thats realistic. I hope brian proves me wrong and we stay up,but for the life of me i cant see it.

That's a good post Sharkey. The fans haven't half stayed loyal on a Saturday. The negativity on here has been pretty limited as well so the team don't lack support. I'm with you - if we stay up it's a small miracle.

Possibly because they change their way of playing to suit. Part of our problem is the manager only has one way of playing. There is no plan b.

Agree devotee. Most teams resort to a long ball at Cliftonhill - the better ones anyway. It's not pretty to watch but it has its place and can be effective. Having said that the goals we lose don't look to me like they are because the pitch isn't the best. The fact the defending is criminal - especially for crosses into the box - is the main factor.
And I'm not blaming the grounds people for the state of the pitch before their relatives come on her en masse.

Has been all season regardless of who is in defence and where they are playing.

I'm sorry folks but I wasn't being negative before.I'm being realistic. On Saturday for 30 minutes we were BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE until Queens Park lost a 2nd goal to return a draw. We need effort and lots of it to deliver safety. Otherwise we can kiss goodbye to £20k from the local derbies next season. And substantial drops in other big numbers of away fans such as QP and Ayr Utd. All in all we should be incentivising the team to stay up as it could lose us £50k if we go down. Come on Rovers. You can do it.
