Pleasantly surprised at the number of positive score predictions this week!
We haven't beaten the manky mob all season and it would be great to beat them at their own place.
With Trouts and Fish back this week we'll be much better organised with a more potent goal threat again.
With that in mind it HAS to be a sweet 2-1 victory to the MIGHTY 'Vers!
C'MON ROVERS - LET'S DO THIS!!!

If the underdogs in the Champions League can overcome the odds, then we can do likewise in this league. Let's hope there isn't a 93rd minute penalty winner. Unless it's a Rovers one of course.
Let's see a record away crowd to cheer the boys on. I'm urging every Coatbridge neutral to get up to Airdrie tomorrow.
They have nothing but pride to play for.
We have our future to play for.
Come on The Rovers.

Hope for a win but a draw with both teams scoring sounds likely. Airdrie will be up for this one to put the boot in and out players need to be up for this extra pressured derby Feel the same. Do I punish myself with the walk from drumgelloch to Mordor and back or go do something else? I live in the same area mate but definitely going down, team us on a slippery slope but I’m hopeful today more than I have been all week and it’s a derby anything can happen! If we can get a good crowd who knows...

Bang on Stephen. Fairly even game with both side having few chances with keepers having little to do. Pretty crap game to be honest and we should have been more up for it and tested a poor Airdrie side.
Im expecting the pope to announce the Airdrie physio as a saint tomorrow going by the amount of miracles she performed today. League 2 here we come.

Desperately unlucky. Great effort from the team: no complaints there. Well, it's all down to next Saturday now.

Terrible game between 2 really poor teams. Airdrie took their chances and therefore deserved to win.
We played better after the double substitution. Well, maybe less terrible as opposed to better. And for a period of maybe 3 or 4 minutes we looked like we might get something out of the game. Had a couple of decent chances, hit the post, keeper had a good save from a long range effort.
But - it's the same old story again. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course but I can't agree we were unlucky. Plenty of effort but we are absolutely cr@p. Airdrie did plenty of play acting and I like Sharkey's comment about the physio and the Pope. Spot on!
At least QP lost. Hard to believe anyone in this league is worse than us but QP keep proving me wrong. Still on for that play off decider with Stenny and Vitoria's injury time winner to keep us up. That will just about make my year.

Good effort today but seriously lacking a cutting edge up front. at 1-0 looked like we were getting right into it and then a slip and its 2-0. as for THEM their antics were disgraceful to say the least, all through the game they hit the deck and whined at a referee who gave them everything going. but effort wise no complaints today. heard the airdrie man of the match award was presented by Tom Daly at the final whistle.

Have to say the team huffed and puffed but without any real cutting edge ,two very poor teams to be honest ,thought Joa was awful, and deservedly got hooked ,we have been very fortunate that Queens keep letting us of the hook ,if by some miracle we get a chance at a playoff I still think we will struggle as we would have no momentum going into it against a team that have oh well it's been fun for a while in the first division. On a completely unrelated topic I hope no one needs any medical attention at the Monklands as I'm sure the wards will be full of Airdrie players who seemed to be in so much distress throughout the game.

Agree with all of the above. It was an Airdrie team full of 17 and 19 year olds so never a better opportunity to strike a blow- but alas all our effort came to nothing. If it is the play offs then they way Montrose and Peterhead have been going this season it would take a brave man to predict overcoming either of them ! The Airdrie players must have been dreaming about their summer beach holidays given the number that were lying about the pitch at every opportunity !

Probably sums up this season when I view a 2-0 reverse at Airdrie as not a particularly bad result.
Feels like a slow death at the moment waiting for the season to end and if QP were not as equally inept then we would have been well sunk by now.
Can't for the life of me see us getting anything at Ayr on the last day of the season.
I think Queens park will pick up a point at least out of their last two.

Still it doesn't stop some of the outrageous predictions on this message board. I swear some folk are watching a different team from me.

Good effort from the guys yesterday however nothing to show for it again.
Airdrie's first goal was a great finish from the guy and the second resulted from a mistake by us.
The amount of cheating from the Airdrie players was outrageous - they should be embarrassed!!
Two games to go then to attempt to get that play-off place.
Next weekend is huge as we're at home to EF and QP are at Forfar. Hopefully The Loons will still field a strong team even though they're safe.
