I see the scottish FA are buying Hampden park from queens park for 5 million, and queens park will be playing all there games at lesser Hampden in 2020.

I can see QP giving up their amatuer status when this takes place.

Death of a football institution
Always loved the fact queens park were in the big stadium. Poor show the will play at lesser
Problem is now everyone will say how they should have always played there
At the end of the day it's a club which has been forced out there home after 152 years.
What's the difference between them being forced out and shite forced out firs

What does the last sentence mean.
Lesser Hampden is another plastic pitch, bummer. Dimensions would be interesting, the big park was always a home advantage for QP.
Always liked the idea that the SFA were beholden to the only amateur side in senior football.
Good that Hampden is being retained for international matches, shame that QP have been kicked out.

**** sake they arent being forced out they've landed on their feet as they always do! SFA made them an offer they couldn't refuse and they were wise to accept before Scotland went for the 'blackmail' tactic

Let's hope they need to spend their 5 million bringing lesser Hampden up to scratch and don't have a 5 million player/blazer budget! Off course that assumes they move as they were supposed to be moving there after the last (tax payer funded) refurb. In fact shouldn't the money be paid back to the tax payers rather than the squatters!

Queens Park in my opinion have always done well with the situation. Look at it from the outside, a 3rd tier scottish team with crowds around 500, playing in a 50,000 all seater which hosted the champions league final about 15 years ago. Absolute lunacy. Personally I'd rather the national team use all the stadiums in the country, but if they are going to use Hampden then the right decision has been made. QP have a few million for a stadium they would never be able to keep without Scotland and they can move on in a far far greater position than the teams in and around them could ever dream of.

It may have been their ground but they didn't pay for the refurb so shouldn't benefit from it.

Council home tennents shouldn't benefit from getting new kitchens or Windows put into their homes but they don't pay for it ...

Same way we put new carpets into our home that the landlord will benefit from even though he didn't pay for them
