Amazing that even without a manager we manage to sign a player.
I would have thought any new signings would be down to the new manager ?

I saw an entry on Twitter this morning about us signing a Spanish player called Gerard Hernando Escuriola and dismissed it as a hoax but .... its true and he's come on as substitute at Balmoor. He's 22, described as a midfielder, "interior right", was born in a place called Benlloch, quite near Villareal and last played with a team called Borriol in what appears to be a lower league in that part of Spain. He's scored 8 goals over 3 seasons. No doubt we'll find out a lot more but did ANYONE expect this?! He's on now and though we're 2-0 down from goals early in the first half, in 15 mins we've doubled our attempts on goal, still only 6 but 5 on target... but wait, we've scored!!! and our Gerard gave the cross from which Eley scored. Cunningham seems to be doing quite well too. Our % of possession has increased too. Are things looking up? Better not say anymore.

So were did we get the new Spanish player from and what club/clubs did he play for in scotland. He is a student over here. He is studying at UWS in Hamilton for 1 year. So he hasn’t played for any clubs over here. He came through the academy system of Villarreal before playing in the lower leagues in Spain with a side called Borriol.

He came on at half time and took 10-15 mins to get into the game, but after that he looked good. He is happy to play quick passes, 1-2’s etc and is also just as happy to dip a shoulder and beat a man as Si Ferry will be able to attest to... on a number of occasions. 😂😂 And he supplied the corner for Barry Eley’s goal.

Tbf jaydee we wouldn't expect you to come on here and say he was anything other than decent. If he's as good as you say he is then he'll stand out like a sore thumb.

Possibly, but I’m not a liar, so if I didn’t think he was decent I probably wouldn’t say anything. The great thing is none of our games are behind closed doors, so every single person on this forum will be able to have a look for themselves to see how he looks. I also know how to treat a sore thumb... just in case

Your truthfulness would be well tested by asking for your assessment of JB's managerial nous at L2 level and the quality of the individual performances of the first team squad this season. But I guess that's what the rest of us are here for.

A bit like when friends ask if your mrs is a good cook, regardless of if she is or she isn’t you’re 1- grateful that she makes you dinner 2 - know you’ve got to face her again

I really wasn't having a go at jaydee. And he was answering a question posed on here which is always welcome as the official website just isn't very good at keeping us up to date.
Just making the point that his honest assessment (which I believe is honest btw) is bound to be both diplomatic and more than likely a wee bit biased. We'll all get to make up our own minds in the weeks ahead.
And for the record, Mrs d7 is indeed a fab cook!
