Something must be going down!!
2 days to go and not a peep.
Few people on here have got their cards close to their chest.
Even Grant not letting on whatâs happening and he can tell us if Peterhead change their tea lady. Spill the beans or do we need to wait to Thursday night.
Suspense is palpable

By sheer chance, I am down on mainland to co-incide with attending my first AGM.
I will be supporting the current board members.
Their job is to keep the finances in order. I think that they have recovered the financial situation after the exploits of business types who nearly put the club out of business. Well done to the board. Money has been freed up and is availble to the manager.
At a certain point the board responsibilities stop and the manager is in charge of the football side.
I don't doubt for a minute that Grant, Robert Watt and Frank Meade have the best interests of the Rovers at heart as they see it.
But I just can not work out how getting the club into a better financial situation than for many of the previous years warrants removing the directors who did the hard work to get the club finances where they are. I would remind everybody that in the past only cup ties against Rangers and Celtic have kept the club in existence.
Also, when I am down, I go to the Thursday Club, and trip over any number of directors who are doing whatever is required in their own time, for the love of it, free of charge. And I meet other Rovers supporters who are also doing whatever is required, for the love of it, free of charge. There is a great volunteering ethos at the club and this should be retained and protected into the future.
What is George Peat's role in the attempted coup? And what are his motivations? I am not sure that I would want George as my guru. He has a record in Scottish Club football, and it is not good. Just ask any Airdrieonians supporter.

Not just Airdrie fans, he was a failure as head of SFA with us qualifying for zero tournaments and was in place while the biggest cheating scandal ever in UK football was happening with the Rangers EBT schemes. He went on record a few months ago saying his biggest disappointment wasnât either of these failures but that a premier league chairman didnât want to break the rules to help Rangers.
The same Rangers with David Murray at the helm who put the final nail in Airdrieâs coffin. That shows you where his priorities lie. I donât want him or anyone who would wish to be associated with him anywhere near Cliftonhill.

None of this matters, alas, Nanook. It all depends what the 'major shareholders' have already decided to do weeks ago. And I think I can probably 'guess' what that 'might', 'allegedly' be. All very ironic, when you cast your mind back to this time last year...

And still no proposals about what our famous 'board in waiting' intend to do if they 'allegedly' take over via their 'alleged' coup via the shares of 'major shareholders', or even who they are, if indeed they exist, 'allegedly'. SFA due diligence for the 'alleged' people involved anyone? I'm pretty sure there are procedures for such 'alleged' takeovers in Scottish football.

As mentioned previously I find this very strange when one of the people involved or if not involved their biggest cheerleader isnât saying a word on here but can tell everyone the movements of ever ex rover player before the inks dry on their new contract. Also will be disappointed if Robert Watt is involved with some of the names mentioned on here as was suggested in an earlier post. While I donât know him personally I always enjoy his posts on here as they are honest , very informative and usually pretty much bang on the money in my opinion. Although I get he doesnât have much time for the current board Iâd be surprised if he was in cahoots with some of the suggested members of the âboard in waitingâ . Iâd like to think by now he will have researched more than a self written Linked in page.

I thought something like this was in the offing when Grant wasnât posting in this thread. With Peat involved it looks like some of the shareholders will get their wish. Houses at Cliftonhill and a return on investment.
