That was pathetic, no other word describes that performance better

Never walked out early like that before but i just couldn't watch any more, only to check my phone and see they'd scored a fifth goal, we're in serious trouble

Dreadful and back to square one. And wouldn't we rather have had the beast at no.9 than that imbecile who got sent off. Hopefully kept walking out the gate when he went up the tunnel. Should never grace our pitch again.

Byrne - absolute pr1ck. The sending off changed the game as we looked competitive up until then. Worse than that it was for the most petulant, pathetic, puerile and pointless kick at the keeper that you will ever see. The easiest red card the ref will give all season. I hope his team mates battered f*ck out him in the dressing room. He deserves no less. @rsehole with sh1t for brains.
Jack - skip to next post please.
As for PJ - what is wrong with you? Do you think you've arrived and are a proper keeper cos you have the Rovers number 1 jersey? Calm down son. First goal the defender missed a through ball which let the Stirling winger in. That didn't help. However PJ slipped when the cross came in and was beaten by a header. Not a disaster but not great. 3rd goal - PJ collides, comically with the defender out past the penalty spot ffs! Stirling striker had the easiest tap in for his hat trick. 5th goal - guy kinda going nowhere and PJ cleans him out at the corner of the 18 yard box. Needless and a stone wall penalty. I think there is a good keeper in there but my God you need to get back to basics.
Difficult to judge the overall performance because we were down to 10 men for so long but Stirling looked decent enough to beat us.
A few wee squabbles between the Rovers players too towards the end. It started with Phillips having a go at Reilly but before long there were a good few having a go and pointing fingers. Maybe it shows they care. Maybe it shows frustration. Regardless, I hope they took it out on that fud Byrne at full time.

I too walked out early after the 4th goal. It's a pity Byrne let himself, the team, the manager and the supporters down in that manner because up until this point I thought we were the better team. After the sending off we were all over the place and made Stirling look like world beaters. I am at a loss as to how we can extricate ourselves from our current predicament but at the end of the day if we are not good enough then we don't have a God given right to remain in the League which will be a sad day for the Club

That wasn’t great. Sending Off as stated earlier was very childish and I’m sure the manager will be having words with him. Very difficult for a team minus a player to play almost 80 minutes on a heavy surface. That being said we matched Stirling the first half with their goal being fortunate to say the least. Second 45, dismal. No leadership, no ideas on how to change things. Possibly being down to them all blowing out their hoop.
Wins in The Berwick games are vital

Total garbage today and thats being kind,at 0-0 we were competing well then totally stupid and pointless sending off changed everything, wheels came right off the bogey as we started shifting shape of team around. a canter for Stirling tbh and deserved too as we were rank. after twenty minutes thats up there with the worst of the worst displays under JB. Grim.

Can only agree with the post match comments above. Byrne was a total idiot - to kick out while on the deck right in front of the ref!! That was the most abuse I've ever given to any Rovers player, however utterly deserved!!
We were always up against it after that but the guys turned in an incredibly poor performance and the score-line was probably a fair reflection of how the game went.
Damn - can only be ONWARDS & "HOPEFULLY" UPWARDS!!!!

A stupid sending off which made an already uphill task more difficult but really made no dufference yo the result especially with defending like that. And PJ has lost his confidence. If you think this team won't finish bottom you are deluded.

Has anyone checked the lowland league table, if we play like that today we have no change against those teams and we're in that league, so starting next week we need to get points, and Edinburgh city starting to stutter Abit the now, or some of us mite have to look at some property available to buy around coatbridge to play our games on if we go down, cause we won't have the money to come back up.

It was the late great Hugh McIlvanney whose philosophy was 'don't screw this up !'. Well if the great man had cast his eye over events at Cliftonhill yesterday , I wonder what journalistic talent he would have tapped away on his typewriter ? I can almost hear him - The 11 men of Albion Rovers have found it extremely difficult this season when facing opposition- but to play a game of competitive football for 70 minutes with 10 men and achieve a positive result would broadly be similar to Theresa May inviting Jeremy Corbyn over for a chat and gaining a new pen pal. They battled manfully in first half , but as the game progressed the thoughts would turn to allowing President Trump to have his much yearned for wall erected hastily along the home goal. The Stirling players had a swagger that you would expect a side of their superior numbers to show , whilst the home side battled in vain until the bitter end , when the referee finally blew his whistle on the carnage around him.
The great man may be gone - but it may not be too long before we have our own obituary penned by the newer breed of journalists who may not be as empathetic

Genuine question here:
At what point to the BoD assess Kevin Harper’s performance so far? Should we be looking at replacing him with someone who can rally the boys, and add a few new faces, before our showdown with EK/Kelty/Cove?
I’m being deadly serious, btw.

If rumours of a Boardroom takeover at this week's AGM are true your wish might come sooner than you think Jordie. No smoke without Caldwell and all that ......
