From the Tiser
These Celtic games were scrapped before as they drew the neds with their flares, not looking forward to that prospect.

Terrible idea: sorry, but I would not attend any more matches versus the 'Old Firm': the Ibrox experience was horrible enough. Totally unpleasant, apart from the great result.

Think it would a good challenge, but perhaps at an U19 level.

great news and good to see some effort into raising revenue and profile, lets trust the Club to get it right re fans behaviour before we all jump in, hardly think it will be a full Celtic 11 that would attract that shite minority element of their support

Can remember the last one and Roy and Chris are spot on, it did attract the dregs of society, and it was definitely not a minority. That's the way I remember it anyway.

Think I'll avoid the Celtic game even if it is only a u20 Celtic game. Not in the mood to see republican flags on display and religious songs been chanted by neds. The club is obviously trying to get some revenue from this type of game but not for me I don't mind attending the Motherwell game though

Can't blame the club from trying to cash in by bringing a Celtic select team along to the ground. Pretty sure the money raised will help the coffers and if its a decent Motherwell squad they should bring enough of their own support to bolster the funds.
As for trouble and nonsense, have the club not stepped up the stewarding for the past couple of seasons, been enough yellow vests kicking around on the occasions I have managed to get up

Rovers Tweet today says they're announcing pre-season games at 6pm. The Advertiser said today that we've arranged the Celtic game for Thursday 4th August. Odd as I understand the Challenge Cup is likely to be played on Tue/Wed that week and of course we will have Saturday games too!
