Astonishing, really.
I’ve been a very vocal critic of the club’s approach to season 2018-19 and was 101% sure that our fate was sealed. A remarkable turnaround that must be credited to Kevin Harper, two inspired loan signings, and an admin error. Only the Rovers could be dead, buried, cremated, yet turn up relatively unscathed at the wake.
Give KH the job (if he wants) and some form of budget - we could be witnessing the making of a special young manager.
Onwards to 2019-20 and whatever that may bring...
Jordie.

The confidence from the players over the last few weeks was very much on show today right from the start. We bossed the first half and never looked back after the penalty on the half time whistle. Berwick had more possession when they were 3 down but never looked likely to make a comeback. Brilliant support and response from the players. The feel good factor for the club is back big style - lets hope we can start to replicate all of this come August and return to where we belong - upwards and onwards !

Lots (and lots) to forget and, hopefully, lessons learned. Jordie.

Cracking day out and some turnaround from the 3-0 battering we got down there in November. Stadium announcer played "The Final Countdown" as the teams ran out and how apt that was!
Rovers never really looked like losing and were in control for most of the game. Berwick's best spell was in the first 15 minutes or so when they created a few chances down the Rovers left hand side. PJ made an outstanding one handed reaction save at 1-0 and that kept us in it. The penalty just before half time looked like a stone waller to me.
Not sure how many Rovers fans made it today - about two hundred or thereabouts I'd guess? Wonder where they will all be next season? Or next week come to think about it. What was so special about today that brought everyone out? We've had important home games with about the same crowd.
Berwick manager took pelters the whole game and disappeared quickly at the end - you can't blame him! Good to see EK getting pegged back a notch or two at home to Cove as well. The return trips between Cove and Berwick will be epic. I suppose they both maybe better get used to it!
Massive congratulations go to Kevin and his team. The've done exactly what they needed to do in terms of recruitment and moving on the under-achievers. I'm stunned we've made it to safety with one whole game to spare. Kevin does look as if he has something about him in terms of coaching and management ability. I hope we keep him but if he secures a better gig then good luck to him and I hope he succeeds there as well.
I feel a bit sorry for the Berwick fans - let's face it, that could have been us. It might also be us next season. So we dodged a bullet this time around and got away with the Brogan bargain hunt. Let's get a bit better organised as early as possible for next season. That starts with a managerial appointment. First choice has to be Kevin.

Well done to Kevin, Joe and the boys, it's nothing short of a miracle, we're 8 points clear for crying out loud, it's nuts given where we were. Glad the gap's as big, stops people bleating on about the Clyde penalty. That said, 6 point Saturday was the turning point, not just the gap closing so quickly but psychologically it was a massive lift for us and knocked the stuffing out of Berwick but we didn't half take the opportunity. All in all one of the more memorable campaigns, not necessarily for the right reasons but it wasn't half exciting towards the end!

Well done to the players and Kevin and Joe. The finished the job and all that was asked of them. Great turn out by Rovers fans . Really felt for the Berwick diehards I really hope Berwick stay up. Thought our fans were slightly over the top with Harvey. It's great having the banter but when it's for the sake of hearing your own voice then I would draw a line.
Just think we have a totally meaningless game of football next week. Bliss.

What a great result - three generations of my family there today, including a teenager seeing her first Rovers match and who says she may well be back. This largely because today's away support was magnificent in quality and quantity.
Kevin Harper has proven he has something and may well go on to bigger and better things. I hope he does, as he has done what we all (McClurg the honourable exception) believed impossible for a long spell and, importantly for me, made the three buckshee points irrelevant.
I also share d7's sympathy for the Berwick fans. They have always seemed a decent bunch compared to many and I hope they make it through the play-offs. Fair play to our lot for mostly restricting their slagging to JH, who almost everybody (including most of the Berwick support) agreed had it coming and then some.

Credit where it's due btw - I thought the referee was good today. He looked about 12 and I'm sure I've got stuff in my fridge older than he is. He let the game flow and although a wee bit pernickety in places, he was pretty fair. Sean tried his patience a wee bit but the ref handled it well I thought. Much better than last week.

Keep hitting 'post' too quickly, sorry! Smart was excellent today. Said it before but how QP let him go and also, let him go to us, is beyond me. They really must have thought we were gonners. (They weren't alone tbf)!

Of all the great events in my personal Rovers memories, this ranks among the highest. Well done to Kevin and all the Rovers boys: what a superb effort to rescue us from certain disaster. Sensational.
