After listening to the interview with Vic Kasule I notice he referred to the late Jim Deakin . Does anyone know what happened to Jim. If I remember he stayed local ( Cumbernauld)

Sad to hear that; he was a superb player. Career destroyed by vicious and brutal leg-breaking assault by A.Brannigan of Arbroath. Arbroath thug was taken to court because of it.

One of my worst Cliftonhill memories. I can still hear the noise of Jim's leg being broken all these years later. Chilling. Ronnie

Would be really if the Club invited Jim along to a game. He really was a fantastic player. Glad to hear he is recovering and is well.

I would echo Tommy Sermanni’s suggestion - would be great in the future if the club invited Jim as a guest to a game.

It is my understanding - please forgive me if this is incorrect - that this was the first footballing 'incident' on the pitch that ended up in the courts. It sounds like an horrific incident. I'd love to see Jim at the ground as a guest of the club.

Can the Supporters Trust or the BOD please put this idea into action. Let's look after one of our own and thank Jim for the outstanding service he gave to the Club.

At the Memories Group today we decided to invite Jim to talk to us about his time at the Rovers at one of our forthcoming meetings. I'm sure the club will invite Jim along as a guest to a game in the near future.
Luckydog13( Liz) I have sent you a personal message on this forum.
