That was complete and utter, utter shite. No other way to describe it. Kevin has no idea what his best starting 11 is. Shambolick from start to finish. Keeper actually was blameless today but defensively we are all over the place. In attack we don't look like scoring.
First goal was aided by a friendly deflection but the second one the guy had all day to control the ball, pick his spot, ring his mum to check what time dinner was tonight before bending a decent shot in. Elgin also had a goal chalked off for offside - correctly. As for the third goal, dear God! Clarke had all day to size up what he was doing with a ball that came out of orbit. He got himself caught underneath it and only succeeded in teeing it up for the Elgin winger. He galloped away and put a decent cross in which Clarke somehow managed to finish smartly at the near post giving the keeper no chance. As comical as it was tragic.
Smart's goal was a decent header from the first cross/corner today that managed to beat the first defender.
1 - 3 didn't flatter Elgin, they were well worth their victory. As for the Rovers, we are in trouble and unless there is a fairly quick improvement then we are once again bottom 2 material. We cannot string any passes together. Even short 2 and 3 yard passes are going astray. It is embarrassing.
I agree there is something wrong. You only had to watch the subs going through the bare minimum of the motions at half time. No energy, no interest and these are the guys who can't get into the first team.
Oh and can someone please make sure the balls are fully inflated for the next match. I'm fed up watching the ref/opposition changing the ball over. It's basic.
Crowd was 275. At least 5 Elgin fans there. Man of the match was Will. Probably deserved as the best of a bad lot but Goodfellow had a couple of decent saves and for me maybe shaded it. Yes, it was that bad today!

Another woeful day at the office against, what must rank as the poorest opposition team since Berwick Rangers and East Stirling used to come calling. The constant chopping and changing of players doesn't seem to allow a settled formation to work off each other - indeed we resemble kids in the school play ground at times when there is no pattern or responsibility around some of the basic fundamentals - defending being a prime example. We have an ideal opportunity next Saturday to get the basics working as the cup draw could not have been more favourable to us - BUT we need to perform.

There is something going on here, is they a problem going on with the players/ manager team or what, after a good start to the season, it's turning into last season horror show, and no one wants that this season, how many times do we have to tell you Kevin, we need a goalkeeper, and beat to a crappy Elgin team to, next week in the cup, we better win.

Talking of subs, why is Smart doing no such warm up at half time? Is he different from the other players that all he has to do is sit in the dug out??
Absolutely woeful performance other than Will. He is the only player who can get pass marks for me for his effort. Shame he doesn’t have players around him with the same fight and effort.
Long Ball Phillips is never a centre mid and I don’t know how he gets in the team ahead of Moreno.

Only saw three players out at half time, not just smart. Suspect that we are in a "lost the dressing room scenario" where the manager has lost all respect and authority. Has to go now for me. (Hopefully won't have to explain lost the dressing room this time as I had to once before. If so, Google it! 🙄)

Shite, pish, garbage, dismal, grim, and a dozen other non flattering adjectives. Like watching a JB re-run all over again. We are in real bother.

Wharton and Potts were passing the ball between themselves. See, Wilson and Scally were playing keep up in a triangle. This is Harper’s team so he can be judged now and it is not in a good way. Elgin were not a great team but we made everything easy for them. The first few tackles from Will Graham should have been a marker for the team to get right in about them, but, nobody seems to follow up on his fight or effort. You can see him getting frustrated out there.

Didn't notice smart but you have to ask why nobody is out there making sure they do something at half time. The assistant, maybe. Having said that, who put the ball in the net. Smart. Nobody else looked like doing it so have to give him credit. And I wish we had a team of Will Graham's. Feel for him being surrounded by haddies and has beens.

Let’s remember that the manager performed a miracle to keep us up last season.
But he now has to prove himself again.
My suggestions are:
- Start Smart - Wilson to come in for Clarke (who was one of our best players earlier but has totally lost form) - Moreno and Wharton to come back if they are fit.
Fort William is a 100% must win game.

Smart and two others sat blethering in the dugout at half time. Observed Goalkeeper Potts and Bryan trying to lob the ball to each other without accuracy and noticed Bryan surprisingly telling Potts to get this own ball when he had miss kicked it.
Between this and the less than ideal team performance in both halves you can't help raise questions on where we are going, as we plummet down the table.
Kevin stating at the lasting trust meeting that we are In a better place than last year at this time was a deflective response to a question. We do have a better squad but the ambitions of a play off place are seriously in doubt the way we are going.
Agree Will Graham played well again in spite of getting a few hard knocks today he just got up dusted himself down and got stuck in.
Kevin and Joe are a good team and hopefully will turn things around.
