Willie Haughey's bank rolling queens park to a title next season I think
Giving players £250-£350 a week as standard isn't the highest in the division for a player but they will get 16 very good players in on that wage
Also worried everyone around us are strengthening and we have only signed 1 defender

Chris, If somebody like that came in `bankrolling` Rovers...they would instantly be downcried as not being a`lifelong fan`, accused of being a `maverick` out to feather his own nest - or worse.....you don`t hear many QP fans complaining, or Alloa`s either with Mike Mulraney`s money.....

Nonsense Grant. There might be legitimate concerns about what would happen if the money suddenly dried up - e.g. because the person changed their mind at a later stage or died (remember what happened to Gretna), but if they were genuine, and weren't loading debt on to the club, they would be welcomed.
You're still miffed because the characters you were promoting last year as better qualified to run the club than the current board turned out to have nothing to offer but their own egos, and were rightly seen off.

I believe you are completely wrong Grant. I don't see that being the reaction of either fans or the Board. If someone came in with a real plan and real money that was for the good of the club I think their hand would be bitten off. A stumbling block may be that a person coming in to invest in the club may wish some control of the club which is impossible due to the share structure. Ronnie

Only going on comments on this mb by some in the past, Ronnie, although that is perhaps not a representative sample. Agree with your last line although the word `some` is a moot point.

Only going on comments on this mb by some in the past, Ronnie..... Yes, but you make the mistake of thinking that critical comments about people YOU were promoting for a place on the Board would automatically apply to anyone who expressed an interest. That is so obviously not the case. It depends entirely on the trustworthiness and integrity of the individuals concerned.

Indeed we all have opinions, and these may be right or wrong. Problems is that yours on who were fit and proper people to run the club were proved to be very wrong indeed.
